For those of you that have put your maiden name as your second middle name in Canada, how is it? Especially if all names are somewhat long-ish ones - did it make filling out paperwork tedious/difficult (ie, not having enough space?) Is there anything else to consider, logistically, when doing this? What about doing a double barrel, non-hyphenated last name - are both last names used or only one? Legally/school/socially, etc.
This part is not Canadian specific, but I’m curious if anyone else was kind of bummed with the “flow” of their name/kids’ names when doing this? This feels like a petty concern to have… But this is name nerds! If there are others out there who will understand being kind of bothered by janky flow, it’s here! Haha
I love my maiden name - it’s pretty distinct and ties into my heritage - but it’s also an absolute pain for pretty much everyone to spell/pronounce and it doesn’t really flow with, well…anything I can think of. However - being from a close knit family of all girls (who did fully change their names) and someone who’s into genealogy - I would be sad to lose it entirely. I would love to pass it down anyway I can.
It is really important to us that me/my fiancé/future children all share the same family name, though. His “reason” for going with his last name vs mine is genuinely more meaningful than my “reason” is, and his name flows better with my name/potential kids names - so we’ve decided on using his name.
I’m thinking of doing FirstName MiddleName MaidenName (as a second middle name) LastName or FirstName MaidenName(as middle name) LastName. Socially it’ll naturally be FirstName LastName, so that’s a decent compromise with myself. My middle name is an honour name for a very close family member and I’m not entirely sure I want to lose it by replacing it with my maiden name - but maybe.
I’d want to give our kids my maiden name as a second middle name too, but regardless of what FirstName MiddleName combo we choose - their full name would be a mouthful! I am realizing that the sound/flow of a name combined with my fiancé’s last name is a primary factor for me when evaluating first names… but unfortunately - no matter how much I love the sound of a FirstName MiddleName LastName combination - every name kind of loses it’s magic/flow when my maiden name is also included! haha. :( this probably shouldn’t bother me as much as it does. Family connection/heritage over “name aesthetic” right? But… it does, honestly.
I feel like this might be hard to grasp without a concrete example. My new name would be fairly similar in sound/length to something like Caitlin Aubrey Aslinger Conlan.
What would you do? Is the flow as rough as I think it is? Can you think of any FirstName MiddleName combinations that would sound nice?

I've gotten to a good level of success with printing on my dyesub printer and transferring to light polyester fabrics, but can't figure out what to do with darks.
When searching for transfer paper to dark fabrics, all paper I'm finding refers to inkjet printer use, and not a dye sublimation printer use.
Do I need an inkjet printer to transfer to dark fabrics, or can I keep using my dyesub printer? Any special transfer paper recommendations?

tl;dr : She lives an hour and half away. Has no place of her own as of right now because of external circumstances, same with a car. Is working at a new job a lot and has less time for me, but is working to get this stuff for her, but also to make it better for us. I am struggling to be patient with the distance and not being able to see her or talk as much, but I know holding out is worth it. I do not want to become too dependent and clingy and want advice to help combat this part of myself.
I have been with my girl for a few months now. Things have been great, she treats me and is into me in a way I have never experienced. When we first got together until recently, she lived with her dad and I could come over and we could stay at her mom's place. She doesn't live there but she let's us stay. She didn't have a set job, she did gig work essentially so her schedule was super open. She didn't have a car but I do and I don't mind the drive so hanging out was still pretty easy.
She recently has been faced with the situation of needing to get out of her current living situation to the point of staying with her grandparents which I cannot stay at, and her mom's we can still stay at but it has become more difficult. She also is working a new job that takes a lot of her time and when she is there it is hard for her to talk to me and when she gets home she is so tired she just goes to bed.
I know that sometime soon she will have a place of her own which will help a ton because I can come over a lot easier even if she does have work and stuff. And hopefully not too much longer after that she will have a car where she can come see me more often. It is not an if, just a when.
Going from how much we could hang out and talk at the beginning to this has been really difficult for me. She is also very independent and I am used to dependent partners. I think it is a good thing because she has a life of her own which will be better for us in the long run, but I find myself getting anxious when we don't talk for extended periods. It makes me feel like I need reassurance which she gives, but I feel like asking for more and I do not want to discount all the work she is doing and the effort she puts into me as well.

I have been with my girl for a few months now. Things have been great, she treats me and is into me in a way I have never experienced. When we first got together until recently, she lived with her dad and I could come over and we could stay at her mom's place. She doesn't live there but she let's us stay. She didn't have a set job, she did gig work essentially so her schedule was super open. She didn't have a car but I do and I don't mind the drive so hanging out was still pretty easy.
She recently has been faced with the situation of needing to get out of her current living situation to the point of staying with her grandparents which I cannot stay at, and her mom's we can still stay at but it has become more difficult. She also is working a new job that takes a lot of her time and when she is there it is hard for her to talk to me and when she gets home she is so tired she just goes to bed.
I know that sometime soon she will have a place of her own which will help a ton because I can come over a lot easier even if she does have work and stuff. And hopefully not too much longer after that she will have a car where she can come see me more often. It is not an if, just a when.
Going from how much we could hang out and talk at the beginning to this has been really difficult for me. She is also very independent and I am used to dependent partners. I think it is a good thing because she has a life of her own which will be better for us in the long run, but I find myself getting anxious when we don't talk for extended periods. It makes me feel like I need reassurance which she gives, but I feel like asking for more and I do not want to discount all the work she is doing and the effort she puts into me as well.
Do any of you have any tips or tools that could help me deal with this situation?

I couldn't keep it to myself. I think it was maybe the second or third date we went on that I knew I loved you. it doesn't really make any sense, it's way too fast and I know it. I think I fall in love easily. but you're really fucking special.

sure, maybe it's too soon to know or commit to anything serious, but I don't just feel a few love feelings. I properly love you. I'll wait for you to tell me next time, but I do hope you realize how important you've become to me in such a short time. i'll patiently wait for the seeds to grow, and we can make ourselves a beautiful garden, but with you i'm already blooming. 💙

I don't want to put a wall of text up because the more I try to put my thoughts into words, the more I fall into a dark mindset.
13 year old dog (Black lab/collie mix) that belonged to my roommate that I've grown attached to. Over the course of a year, his hind legs were getting noticeably weaker. Until one night he took forever to stand, would walk about 10 feet then drop down and rest. We tried to take him out to go to the bathroom but he would stop and just lay down for minutes at a time. He couldn't hold himself up to do his business.
He was alert and would eat if it were fed by hand and was able to drink water but his breathing was labored and he hadn't been able to go to the bathroom in days. Personality changes included that he would not get excited at the sight of my roommate where before he would go ballistic. We woke up the day of the vet visit hoping to get tests done but her parents were both adamant that it was just his time to go. We went to the vet and he was put to rest.
I cannot shake the feeling that we should have done more. Without having some tests done, I'll alway feel like that this was prematurely done. Should have had tests ran before that decision. We will never know "what if" and I think I'll never be able to shake that feeling. And it sucks. How do I accept and go on with life?

Hey everyone. So I’ve been at 3.5mm for 8 weeks and bout 5 pairs of different plugs/tunnels at 4mm to size up. I bought 2 pairs of glass plugs and I noticed that the black ones looked slightly bigger than the blue ones but thought it could also be the difference in color playing tricks on me. The blue ones went in with absolutely no problem at all. Tried to put the black ones in after cleaning today which is two days later and they wouldn’t go in and I didn’t want to force them. If the blue ones did stretch my ears a bit how long do I need to wait to put the slightly bigger ones in? Thanks in advance.
