I apologize as it's a bit of a novel and doesn't quite make grammatical sense in some spots. I can read goodly now and again lol. The reason it says M4R is because I mainly like women and trans women but I also like a very very very specific type of guy and certain trans men as I'm partially bi. Chances are you aren't that type but feel free to ask if you are. (Didn’t want to offend anyone so I’d rather say in private) Just throwing that out there as it's a deal breaker for most women. Which why would it be? The number one reason I get is I'm going to cheat on them with a guy. As if being bi has any bearing on cheating and not the persons character.
I'm a 35 year old guy living in the middle-ish of Texas looking for a female partner. Partner as in LTR. That's Long Term Relationship meaning boyfriend and girlfriend and holding hands type of stuff. You know, adult things? I had someone comment I was too vague so this is me being specific. I'm gonna be honest and kinda sad so bare with me.
So I spent New Years alone (I realize June is like tomorrow lol but I have yet to meet someone and I think the story is still somewhat relevant). Rang in the New Year in bed staring at the ceiling listening to fireworks go off into the night. The next day I cried randomly while browsing for a movie to watch on TV. At first I didn't know why as I'm not much of a crier but I realized for the first time that I genuinely felt alone. I have no partner, no family that I speak to, no friends just acquaintances, really no one there for me. That's my own doing which took years to accomplish through me being closed off and just shutting people out, so I figure it might take just as long to fix. I'm not complaining as I got myself into this predicament. It's gonna sound dumb but I wanted a New Years kiss. I'd never had one and it seemed like a fun dumb silly thing to do. Eh maybe one day. Ok well back to my spiel. (I'm not depressed or anything or wanting attention) Some of my hobbies and interests are movies, reading, cooking, kayaking, records, video games, board games, snorkeling, bowling, swimming, escape rooms, puzzles and antiquing. I would describe myself as more goofy and dorky than nerdy. I like to go out and do fun things but also stay in and cuddle and relax. I guess it depends on my mood and the weather. I prefer the cold and would love to live in a state with actual seasons and snow. I'm 5'10, stocky AKA fat and open for adventure and new experiences.
Here are some random facts about me:
Some of my favorite bands are: The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and The White Stripes.
Christmas is my favorite holiday, mainly because of the cold and festive activities.
I come from a medium-ish family.
I'm exceptionally patient but every person has a breaking point lol
I like traveling a lot. It's a basic thing that lots of people like. But I've found lots of people hate to leave their house, town or state so if that's you we probably might not be a good match. I also enjoy the mountains. But I don't like roughing it (give me that sweet AC in the summer). Hiking is so hard on my knees and I haven't done it in a while that if I were to I think about doing it I'd about die or twist a kankle.
I don't eat seafood, mushrooms, artichokes or pineapple on pizza (Who cares about this? Doesn't mean I won't go to a restaurant with you that has these things)
Never went to college as I'm horrible in a classroom setting and at taking tests.
Have probably the most boring job imaginable (Ask me about it)
Overweight but trying to work on it and make better choices (Get healthier and lose weight together maybe?)
Non religious but no issue with what you believe. (If anything)
Looking into sterilization. If you are already maybe you can give me some info or tips?
My own red flags 🚩
I work too much and oftentimes can't talk.
I send selfies often. I'm a visual person and like receiving photos. Apparently it's a generational thing. Hopefully you think pictures are neat as well? Is it really that weird to want to see you and your life and show you mine?
I sometimes speedily become attached to people, not in a weird way, but if I like you and we have some kind of connection, I will enjoy talking to you and want to do it often.
I'm a very organized person and will plan out pretty much anything from a vacation to a road trip to a birthday. This makes being with a go with the flow type of person hard at times I've learned but still very much doable.
Due to childhood trauma I'm secretive which can be annoying.
MY own "HELL YES" 🏁
I know how to cook.
I will always drive if you want. (Within reason)
Great at escape rooms and jigsaw puzzles.
Can read a map.
Decent at reading backwards upside down writing.
What I'm looking for:
Is my age or older. But I'm willing to go quite a bit lower if you are neat and we have stuff in common. But super young isn't my goal here.
Mature, considerate, responsible and funny (Dorky wouldn't hurt)
Someone who never cheats, honesty and trust are important to me.
Someone who is open-minded, willing to try new things, be adventurous, funny and nerdy.
Someone who believes in sharing household chores equally because we are both adults.
Be open and frank about issues you or I are having. Not pushy or jealous. Won't yell or argue about stupid things, I've had enough of that.
Willing to push me to become a better version of myself (Can you turn me into Batman?)

I’ve been a casual lurker on this thread for some time, and every time I read a new post about someone getting diagnosed with endo, and being unsure where to start, or using birth control, all I want to do is share my experience with attempting to balance my hormones, and ask if anyone has tried it too.
I’ll share my question first, in case you want to skip my story, and go straight to commenting:
How many of you have tried to control your symptoms with hormone balancing/anti-inflammatory living/exercise, and NOT with birth control? How bad were your symptoms before you started this approach, and how have they been after? Do you think this approach is only appropriate for women with only moderate pain/symptoms?
DISCLAIMER: I am not a medical professional. I’m simply sharing anecdotal info about my own experience.
My story: I (36F) have had painful periods my whole life. In high school, I would regularly stay home from school with bad cramps, and as I got older, I’d pop two Advil, drink a glass of wine and go to sleep every time I got my period. Was told by family that lots of people had cramps, and that they were normal (LET’S CHANGE THIS NARRATIVE!!). That said, I’ve never passed out or vomited from pain, and my pain was only the worst in the first two-ish days of my period - so luckily nothing severe throughout the month.
In late 2018, I was really stressed at work, I was drinking tons of coffee, not exercising, and that’s when my endo really progressed (though I didn’t know it then). Over a three-month time period, I went to the Emergency Room every month due to pain with my period (weird burning-feeling behind my belly button, and uterine cramping), and in an ultrasound on the third month, they found an 4.5cm endometrioma on my L ovary. This tells me that cyst took about three months to grow, because it didn’t show up in my first ultrasound.
I had surgery in early 2019 to remove that L cyst (not with a specialist), and that’s when I received my formal diagnoses of stage 4 endometriosis and severe adhesions everywhere. I started down the path of doing research (highly recommend Nancy’s Nook Facebook group/website for local specialist lists and medical research on endo). While recovering from the surgery, my non-specialist OB doctor suggested continuous birth control to suppress my endo. I saw a specialist, and she indicated the only way to suppress my endo was with birth control as well. So, I went on birth control continuously (skipping the placebos) for two years.
During those two years, I felt different. I had a serious lack of libido; I felt like I had rain-cloud over my head at all times, and just generally felt down.
In December 2021, I came off birth control to try to conceive. I was super scared of my pain, but I had recently read the book Woman Code by Alisa Vitti (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), which talks about controlling your hormonal imbalance as a way to treat hormone-dependent disorders, so I was set on trying her recommendations.
These are the changes I made to my lifestyle while preparing to stop taking birth control, and while trying to conceive: • Exercising as a requirement - instead of if-time-allowed • Not drinking coffee (I switched to matcha, and I’ll never go back!) • Not drinking alcohol (I was strict-ish on this one) • Living an anti-inflammatory diet. This means essentially eating like a diabetic to avoid blood sugar spikes: avoiding white flour bread and pasta, a focus on organic fruits and veggies (if possible), • Reducing my stress significantly (I switched jobs)
We tried to get pregnant for 6 months, then started down the IVF path, which is a different story (happy to share, but that’s not the point of my post!). In my first ultrasound after being off birth control for 10 months, they found a 2 cm endometrioma on my R ovary. I was super disappointed at the time, but I also wasn’t 100% strict with the bullets above, so I wasn’t totally surprised.
If anything, it makes me feel like my lifestyle changes made a huge difference, because this time, it took 10 months to grow a smaller cyst, instead of 3 months to grow a large one!
And, during those 10 months, I was living my best life!! I felt like myself again! I had a normal libido around ovulation, and felt all of the wonderful (non-pain) ups and downs of your cycle (feeling outgoing during ovulation, feeling like you want to just stay in and cuddle the week before your period, etc. etc.).
For this surgery, I worked with a different specialist, and in my first consultation with her, I asked about non-birth control options to treat endo, and she said that of course those methods aren’t widely studied, but they DID have a packet of guidance they give to endo patients!! Things like yoga, acupuncture, massage, diet, etc. etc. I almost cried because I felt seen.
This is all to share that if you are looking into other types of treatment besides birth control, there are other alternatives to consider either alongside bc, or instead of! Once again, I am not a doctor, and would hate for anyone’s disease to progress faster due to my post. I just think the narrative should be more broad besides, “birth control is your only option, period”.
BTW: EGG RETRIEVAL STATS: with my egg retrieval for IVF done before by R ovarian surgery, there were 4 follicles on my L ovary (the one operated on in my first surgery) and TWENTY FIVE on my Right. If you can afford freezing eggs and all the difficulties that comes with….I highly recommend asking your doctor about it, esp. before surgery.
MY TLDR recs: - Birth control might not be your only option. Consider an anti-inflammatory diet and lifestyle - Consider reading the book, Woman Code by Alisa Vitti - Find the Nancy’s Nook Facebook group/website for research and specialists lists - Check out the Below the Belt documentary (And share with people in your life who are trying to understand your disease) - GET A SPECIALIST AND DON’T LET ANY DOCTOR TELL YOU YOUR SEVERE PAIN IS NORMAL

May 10. Went on a date. My life's first date i got through bumble and got dumbed severly. That was the day when I realised that women in today's world are not worth fapping or drooling over. I looked at myself and remembered all the jerks off and the seeds i wasted for these cheapos. And since then it is straight 24 days days. will soon touch 30 day mark in a few days.
Week 2 was tricky. At worst I saw a few clips without touching. Hands just did not go down there! but i just enjoyed a few mins and slept back. Today, i again tried to see a few clips, but I was not just aroused by it. I just kept repeating in my mind "Its worthless, not real" while tried to watch it and shut that incognito tab within mins.
I am doing 4 sets of 30 pushups every morning since day May 10. Feels energetic. A new glow has started to come slowly. There is a different confidence in a way I walk. has anyone else felt this with themselves?
Question: I am not getting aroused. is it a side effect? or am i getting rewired and It is just the porn that is not exciting me.

The doc was originally shown on the Sundance channel when it came out. Hoping someone recorded and kept it. It features the Powers Midway crew that set up/tear down. Specifically, there are two young women and a man from NF and a guy from NT that are featured in several scenes. (Would love to know where they are today.) The canalfest scenes are brief but bring back memories for me. Anyway, I contacted the production company and it's not available to purchase. Vimeo has it, however, I want my own copy. Thanks much.

2023.05.31 23:02 addknitter Bad Behavior and other random observations from rue St Honoré

My best pal and I work in France together every summer for two months and docking at the motherships of LV and Goyard is always our first task. Today’s visit to LV yielded some interesting tidbits, including that the CarryAll (my hg bag I want so bad), Artsy and Graceful bags are basically no longer carried in their stores but you can order them online. We also learned that prices are being raised tomorrow (!) so either they were making a sales pitch to the woman standing next to us or we scored (I bought a “consolation”😂 Neverfull which I am thrilled about.) The trip to Goyard was BANANAS. The line was the usual long affair, but an employee w encyclopedic knowledge came out and basically from memory told everyone on line which of the items they wanted were out of stock, which colors and how many were left. It was truly impressive. Once in the store we watched an American woman (our nationality as well) have a full on meltdown bc she was told a bag she asked for was out of stock and she just saw two people buying it! Not fair! No amount of “Madame these women had previous appointments and are picking them up” would calm her down. She was a HOT MESS. However what came next was truly unreal: another American woman skipped the line, barged in, and demanded a full set of luggage. They told her she would have to get in line like everyone else. It took five employees to calm her down after she started shrieking “I KNOW WHAT I WANT! GIVE IT TO ME!” Finally she left after she was told one final time to GTFO. Truly a sight to behold. Our SA said that earlier in the day a man had a crying tantrum on the floor bc the bag he wanted was out of stock. So yeah. Anyhoo-thought you might enjoy a glimpse into our day and the trials and tribulations of everyone involved!

“Well... this is another for the bucket list of things I didn’t expect to be doing.” Robin notes as he stands guard outside the room where the at times rather shouty, but mostly going well.
“Higher or lower than playing the part of a supervillain in a planetary capital built in a gigantic obsidian cave where one of the frequent weather patterns is a volcanic blast wave capable of throwing the apocalyptic serpents like ragdolls?” Pavel asks and Robin slowly turns to give him a baleful look. “Serious question.”
“Fine, if it’s a serious question then it depends if higher means more likely or less. Because I expected maybe playing guard outside of family drama well before anything else we’re doing on Skathac.” Robin says.
“Ah... still a little salty that the alien kid with claws on his face has a better family...” Pavel begins to ask but Robin’s glare now includes literally glowing eyes and the man wisely shuts the hell up.
It’s nearly at the end of their shift when everything finishes up and the large, large, family leaves and Doctor Malaise sighs as she stops between them to watch the family leave.
“That doesn’t sound good.” Pavel notes.
“A lot of classic mistakes were made. The sorts of things that will take years to fully sort out and exactly the kind of situation where I can’t help much more without becoming someone they depend on or other issues.” Doctor Malaise says and there’s some nodding.
“So will you be seeing them again?”
“The new family plan is to cut the vacation short and help him catch and domesticate his new Tharaso wings.”
“Hmm... not what was expected.” Robin notes.
“Considering how you were almost demanding for him getting emancipated and cutting all contact, I’m going to count that as a major win for the family.”
“Hmm...” Robin notes.
“Not everything is a drama or devolves into a horrific situation. Sometimes mistakes happen and thank the goddess that this time it was just that.”
“Bad experience on the other end?” Robin asks and then receives a threatening wave from Doctor Malaise’s clipboard.
“Oh no. I’m not going to feed that interest in shattered family lives. What happened to you and yours was a tragedy that is thankfully rare for all the attention it draws. So don’t try and make yourself think that it’s something you should see everywhere.” Doctor Malaise states and Robin shrugs.
“Hmm... Do I really seem to be hoping for things to turn out badly?”
“If not hoping, then a little too eager to see it or fight against it.” Doctor Malaise says and Robin considers. “However, I’m willing to take it on good faith that you’re simply vigilant in case someone else is hurt the same way you were.”
“Oh? That’s very generous of you.”
“You put out benevolence and you encourage it in others. You don’t make the galaxy a better place by treating everything like it’s the most awful thing to ever exist.” Doctor Malaise says and Robin snorts a little. “Is it my name again? I can’t help that my dignified family name sounds nearly identical to something in an Earth language.”
“I said nothing to that effect.” Robin says and he gets a sideways look from the Tret.
“There are only so many sounds and only so many sound combinations and combination lengths before they get too long to be used in conversation. Of course there’s language overlap.”
“Once again, I said nothing.” Robin states.
“But I can still hear it.” Doctor Malaise says and Robin chuckles. This causes Doctor Malaise’s own poker face to break and she laughs with him.
“Right well... that mess is sorted out. At least, it’s sorted out as much as we’re allowed to sort it. My shift ends soon and I need dinner. Care to join me?” He asks and Doctor Malaise turns to him oddly.
“Are you flirting with me?”
“... If you want, but I was thinking more as friends than as a date. Unless you want a date? Then we’ll need something other than the mess hall.”
“It really doesn’t matter where you go. You’re going to inhale an unholy amount of food right in front of me and think it’s a wonderful time.” Doctor Malaise says.
“You know, you’re supposed to eat too when that happens.” Robin notes.
“I’ve already eaten today. If anything I’ve eaten more than I’ve needed. You humans are terrible at portion control.”
“We’re not used to someone who nibbles their way through half a snack and calling it a meal.” Robin answers.
“Do I need to get a hose for you two?” Pavel asks in a mocking tone.
“How much longer until your shifts ends?” Doctor Malaise asks.
“Fifteen minutes.” Robin answers.
“Not worth waiting that long to bonk someone on the head then.”
“To afraid to do it now?” Robin asks.
“You’re on duty, meaning you have to respond to any attack. Meaning in fifteen minutes I can safely bonk one of you, but until then, it’s not safe.” Doctor Malaise says before sighing.
“Something else wrong?”
“Just... thinking a bit. Situations like this are so very complicated and generally you can only tell if the right or wrong move was made by the results that come from them. I can easily see how Albin’s family hurt him. However these techniques and considerations are the same as used for other members of his family that had good results. What hurt Albin helped others, sometimes I think it would have been easier if I was a practicing surgeon rather than a psychologist.”
“And I’d have an easier time as an Athlete rather than an Undaunted. But it’s brought us both to where we are, and we are both stronger for it.” Robin replies.
“Do you have to bring up that philosophy so often?” Doctor Malaise asks.
“I’ll stop preaching Undaunted Philosophy when it stops being relevant.” Robin says. “Still... I will admit I preached the wrong way with the kid. Maybe I should just stick to being a soldier, solicitor and all around...”
“Supervillain.” Pavel says and Robin gives him a glance. “What? You make a great Deathstroke!”
Doctor Malaise’s laughter at that cuts off whatever Robin’s retort is. He waits for her to stop, which isn’t long, before having a new retort. “You know... we do need a Harley Quinn.”
“No.” Doctor Malaise states.
“But it’s perfect! She’s a psychologist! You’re a psychologist! She’s a woman, you’re a woman...”
“Sweet goddess are you really going there?” Doctor Malaise asks incredulously.
“Admit it Robin... you want to see her in the leotard.” Pavel decides to stir the pot.
“And you don’t?” Robin asks as Doctor Malaise puts her hands on her hips and gives him a stern look. It does absolutely nothing to take away from the fact that she is a very beautiful woman.
“The sheer amount of T and A I’ve been seeing has inured me to it all.” The man drones out. “That and I’m seeing someone.”
“... I’m not entirely certain if I’m merely being mocked or if there’s a serious proposition in this.” Doctor Malaise states and Robin smirks.
“Both. You’re being mocked, but if you want to play. Then I can play.” Robin says and Doctor Malaise considers.
“Well... you know...”
“Yes?”
“I don’t like hurting people or fighting. But I am willing to play...?” She doesn’t actually ask. But the question is heard loud and clear.
“Damn, still another six minutes on shift.”
“Not going to end it early?”
“No, this conversation is the limit.”
“What is the human joke? Dear penthouse forum?” Doctor Malaise asks and Robin slowly gives her an amused look.

Several hours have passed and Robin is off duty, fed and now on a date with Alviara. However, since the traditional coffee or dinner date is a complete no go as she has an appetite that an anemic church mouse would consider lacking they’re instead spending some time learning about each other.
Or more accurately Alviara is introducing Robin to dozens of new musical instruments by the minute as her tastes in music are eclectic, varied and seem to hold no limit across species boundaries.
“So this isn’t technically a song?” Robin asks as he pulls away the headphones for public use. The local library has a very well stocked music section with numerous headphones that are free to use.
“This is a lecture in Trill-Speech with musical accompaniment. Leave it to the Urthani to make tax reform sound like an elegant concert.” The amused Alviara Malaise says and Robin snorts in amusement.
“It sounds like an excellent way to toy with people without losing out. Explain to them that you only listen to lectures and they think you’re stuffy and boring, but it’s all in languages you don’t understand and has musical backing so it could literally be a song about anything. If it’s to a good beat then there’s no loss at all.”
“Bah, that’s trying a little too hard for a joke. It’s better to just like all kinds of music. Try this.” Alviara offers and Robin puts down his current set of headphones and tries on the new pair.
“Mongolian throat singing and drums with a hint of xylophone?” He asks. “A lot of... and now there’s a choir of women joining in as well as about thirty other instruments.”
“It’s a method that a lot of musical families use.” Alviara says. “The husband or sons start off and then the rest of the family joins in around them to...”
The sudden intrusion of a particularly large Sonir fluttering up and staring at Robin interrupts them. Robin speaks first. “Can I help you?”
“Uh it uh... well...” The Sonir says before scrambling off and racing out. Robin glances out the window and sees the woman join up with a group of friends who all laugh and joke among each other before another Sonir is sent out and quickly rushes up to where Robin and Alviara are.
“Young lady... you’re being rude.” Alviara chides her and the Sonir looks from her to Robin and back again before rushing off herself.
“What are they doing?” Robin asks as he sees her rejoin the friend group and the system start up again with a third soon to be sent out.
“They’re making bets with each other and trying to see if any of them have the courage to get anywhere. Young teenager sort of things.”
“Is there anything I can say to get them to stop?”
“Not really, but they’re harmless. They barely have the courage to so much as speak with you, so they won’t have anywhere near the audacity needed to do anything.” Alviara tells him. “See? Here comes the next one, she’ll come close. Watch for a bit and not say anything.”
True to Alvira’s word the next Sonir rushes up, watches, stares and then squirms as Robin just calmly returns her gaze and she fidgets for a bit before rushing off back to the group.
“Hmm... seems kind of silly for me.” Robin remarks.
“You were young once.” Alviara says.
“To my regret.” Robin notes and she reaches up and flicks him in the side of the head.
“None of that! We’re on a date, you’re not on my couch and spilling out your secrets.”
“Alright, alright sorry.” Robin says before smirking. “Still, it is nice to see people have a better time than I did.”
“Oh my goddess big man!” Alviara groans and he chuckles before putting a hand on her head and before he can start to muss up her hair she ducks away.
“Fine fine! I was just joking around.”
“Just keep it as a joke, because that really kills the mood if it’s real.” Alviara says and he nods.
“Right, sorry. If you think I’m just screwing up we can call this off and...”
“Throwing in the towel already? Aren’t you Undaunted?” She teases and he huffs in amusement. He then puts his hand on her shoulder and then steps closer to crouch down and be closer.
“I can do so much more, the question is, do you?”
“I’ve just spent two days trying to sort out a family’s drama. Let’s not rush into things like that.” She says before he smiles.
“Of course. Still, just music? What else are you for?”
“Just motorcycles? Surely you have more hobbies.” She turns back his question on him and he nods.
“Fair enough, but free running isn’t something you should just take someone on.”
“Oh? Isn’t that where you rush around through a dense urban environment?”
“Yeah, but it’s not a real thing in a city like this where everything is far off the ground. Less to jump off of and big gaps between things so it’s more big jumps and not kipping up or other bits of fun.” Robin says before the next Sonir comes in to stare. “Although... you girls are as light as a feather, and it can be modified...”
“What are you thinking?” Alviara asks and Robin smiles.
“Want to see just how I move without a motorcycle underneath me?” Robin asks
“Ohhh!” The Sonir gushes and both adults give her a sideways look. She zips out of there.
“Did you have to phrase it that way?” Alviara asks.
“No, but it’s funner than saying, wanna piggyback while I do some modified freerunning around the city?”
“... I can’t tell if this is a boy thing, a human thing or an Undaunted thing and honestly. I don’t care. Yes.” Alviara says as the small crowd of teenage Sonir gets in earshot. “I would love to see how you move under me.”
The girls scatter with squeals of all type before anything else can be said.

2023.05.31 22:55 gothic-interior I was supposed to have my first ever job interview today and the employer completely gosted me.

They were supposed to call me at 4 today for a quick screening interview, and now it is 5 and they still haven’t called. I even attempted to email and call the women doing the interview to remind her, but she never got back to me.This was very disheartening for me as I have never had a job before and was already lacking confidence in my ability to get one. Do you think I should continue to reach out to this employer to reschedule or should I just give up on them? And what do I do if they attempt to contact me in the future, should I just act like it’s no big deal or ghost them back? The only consultation is that I already have some other interviews set up so it’s not the end of the world if this one doesn’t work out, still pretty upsetting though.

They called it Poronomâva, the land of bloodstone. They said it was the place where the blood of their ancestors flowed out, leaving their souls light enough to join the spirits. The earthly essences that left their bodies filtered into the ground and marked it forever, creating Poronôma, jasper.
Once upon a time, long before that land had been known as the land of Poronôma, it was known as Sadâva, land of the spirits. The gods had seen fit to make it their resting place – or, at least, that is one of the many stories that are told by wisewomen or singing men.
According to them, the first union of Moon Father and Mother Rôdo happened in a great, ancestral lake: as the Mother Rôdo grew heavy with the spirit of her children, Moon Father built an island in the middle of the ancestral lake, so that their offspring would have a home away from the cold waters. In that land, the spirits grew and thrived; when they came into their own, however, they used their magic to create three bridges: a greenstone bridge pushing north, a silver bridge pushing south and a bridge of brass pushing to the east. Thus, the ancestral lake was divided into three, and the island of the spirits became a part of the world.
Untold years passed.
They say the ancestors, the very first ones, buried their most worthy men and women in Poronomâva. They would not burn their bodies as the Arhada later did, but they would cover them in reeds and leaves, then pebbles and earth and then let the grass grow above them. A great persimmon tree witnessed all those deaths, all the ancestral blood penetrating the land, making the stones red, all all the souls leaving the Poronomâva.
No man of the Arhada ever saw that, and the tradition was lost, the land abandoned to itself. The lakeshores were easier to live in, warmer in the winters, cooler in the summers. Fish were plentiful and rôdo abundant. And so that sacred place could once again experience that divine rest it offered when the Mother and Father divine set it as the childhood home for their offspring.
Centuries passed.
A persimmon tree, the same tree that may have seen the ancestors as they performed their ancient rites, stood in the centre of a circle of stumps. The land was being cleared by a group of men as their bovines grazed on soft, fragrant grasses. They had returned.
It was an old, sturdy tree, older perhaps than any other tree in that forest: the men were leaving him last, knowing they would find a treasure within it: Black, dense wood – ebony – enough to make prised objects to fill five treasuries. The tree was gone, along with all the others who had stood on that hill for such a long time. More would be planted.
A year passed.
A fence, wooden poles and cattail stalk, was being set around the perimeter where the old mother wanted the new grove to be built. Young boys were making sure that their cattle was taken out of that square, unable to enter it as the saplings grew. A square of twenty-four trees per side: that would give many thousands of pecans in a good year. In the centre, a shrine. As the grove grew around it, the men would leave an offer to the spirits of the grove, to ensure it grew properly: a buffalo horn, a small piece of copper, shining like the sun in a very cold year, a wooden pipe to thank them of their hospitality. The grove would thank them in return, when the time came.
Ten Years Passed.
The axes swung against the fence, shattering it, as younger men gathered the pieces to dry them and and burn them. The trees had grown, and harvests were fruitful enough to allow the cattle back in. As soon as they found an entry into the perimeter of the grove, they made their way in, encouraged by their pastor. Oxen and cows happily went to ruminate the grasses and wild flowers that had grown high inside the fence. The man and the matriarch who had ordained that work were there, looking on as the men opened that plot of land. They walked in, following the cattle, to the central shrine.
The small wooden house had been emptied of all the gifts accumulated throughout the years, gifts the matriarch would take back to her treasury.
The man looked at his lady. "Shall I?" She nodded.
His axe swung against the walls of the shrine. The spirits had gifted that land and the grove of Poronomâva was now theirs.

Background – As pecans, fruit wines and preserved fruits grow as a lucrative item of trade in the lakes, the Arhada push themselves forward along the Isthmus, reclaiming the underpopulated lands between them and the Zonowodjon people. Increased populations and higher levels of inequality in the North pressure people to move south and newer, smaller villages sprout up below the hills as paddy agriculture expands in its snakelike pattern along the lakeshore. In the hilly interior, however, groves grow more developed and rich, as the locals begin to experiment with the domestication and grafting of new fruit trees.

For superfans channeling Aaliyah with Tarot cards and the sorts, they tend contaminate what they heard on the news, rumors, and documentaries to cast judgement on the cards drawn instead of having actual channeled Aaliyah tell her story because similar to her music, the message she is trying to convey is sweet yet subtle while hiding the complicated truths to unveil on their own to those who are more in tune with the details. People using cards tend to cast judgement too harshly on what ambiguities they mean and try to shovel this narrative that conspiracy theory videos already exploited with clickbait.
I feel like the tarot card readings are a sham because if you are a good storyteller already familiar with her story trying to convey an agenda with a few slight-of-hand parlour tricks, you can just tell a story and hide all the cards that don't go with the narrative...there are videos where people literally drew a boar but because a boar didn't have anything to do with Aaliyah, she put it back in the deck and reshuffled...she also drew 3 cards in advance for a clickbait narrative without actually getting them by random or the cards were color coded to begin with so she knew what to pick even upon shuffling.
Similar to those psychics who are held captive by the powers that be, they tend to have platinum hair and the first thing they do after being freed is to cut their hair and dye it brown to diminish their psychic/ESP abilities so to be less useful for their handlers. For that one guy who has this device that plays the voice of dead people, that guy just chops up random vocals from old clips and make it talk like that, prior to AI covers, as some type of necro performance arts to desperate and gullible people for views. For his Kobe video, it's not even Kobe's voice, because fans have watched enough of Kobe interviews to know which interview those chopped clips came from, so that's why it's in another voice -- debunked
Watch her other videos channeling other souls of Left Eye, Diana, and 2Pac -- it's easier to actually conduct an interview and upload back to back with new subtle details, do an impression of their active voice of how they feel present day, and what direction of conversation they want to lead than to do all the background research like for a documentary piece just to fake their personality, because people change over time, especially after death, with time to reflect on it all from the vantage point to review what really happened that led them down their path.

Notes from the 2 videos: watch them for yourself to draw your own conclusions and turn on captions to note the subtleties, but like for any veteran Aaliyah fan, links go down or missing all the time so take heed to save. I actually had something tugging at my heart almost like a backseat editor to present the notes as accurately as possible from what was reported in the videos. For these notes, I don't have this distinction between her energy/soul/spirit and I use them interchangeably in case there is a distinction. The eternal present is not aligned with the human perception of time so her soul can traverse her life from the vantage point of how old she was then and visit other memories of past lives. Her current soul identifies as Aaliyah in her past life but she has moved beyond that spiritually to be identified as who she truly is.
Both channelers got signs that her soul wanted to speak either in signals from their dreams or being awakened with signs of her presence. Her soul got the attention of one channeler by portraying herself as Akasha from Queen on the Damned, because her initial sign was somewhat naively ignored. The other more veteran channeler basically read her star chart and found her soul by meditating to find the distinct outline of her spirit and personality. They literally have the outline spirit of Aaliyah here in front of them while they were doing the video where her spirit could correct them in the middle of talking if they got something wrong. I like how in the middle of these soul channeling conversations, her soul is actively telling the channeler to look and interview other souls like Whitney and Left Eye as more evidence that the industry is vile and deceptive like that.
Aaliyah's mom was supposed to be the superstar singer that Aaliyah came to be back in the 80s, but Aaliyah's mom had a pregnancy and stalled her career to raise a child with Aaliyah's dad, who was a bit passive in the relationship. Aaliyah's soul upon reflection realized that at a young age that Aaliyah was given positive conditioning to sing, dance, and perform not realizing what she really wanted in life but she grew to appreciate it and be good at it by living her mother's dreams vicariously through her to be in childhood servitude for entertainment value. Because she was positioned in an entertainment family, it was said that her soul constantly chose these type of families to be born in -- lifetime after lifetime of entertainment servitude for being dependent upon for raising overall family wealth and status -- and that her soul in the afterlife said that she is thriving alongside older women idols (including Whitney Houston and her Grandmother) to figure out who she really is, by identifying and correcting who she really wanted to be to not fall into another life like that. The soul is said to be a thousand to a million years old and they spend time living life (sometimes being indoctrinated or groomed to become a certain individual by families who predetermine your life when you are born), taking time in between lives, and going back and forth in between realms of existence almost like a conditioning for the soul to learn from its own strengths and mistakes when pit against the realities that be. Her soul at the present is thriving and fully disassociated herself from the entertainment industry and when the Channeler praised that "Aaliyah was a good dancer, singer, and performer" at 13:18 in the second video, her soul was actually saying "what?" and disagreeing because her soul moved beyond that identity in the afterlife.
In terms of the R Kelly relationship, both videos said that there was a pregnancy and a pregnancy scare associated with an unnamed family member and R Kelly, respectively. The faces of the channeler reflected how hard of a topic it was for her with regrets and sadness. There was sexual abuse at a young age and because Aaliyah was inside a family record label business which was more ran like a gang-organized crime ring, it was like a pyramid scheme inside a pyramid scheme structure because her family signed off on and was aware of a lot of things she had to do in the industry for her to advance her career when she was just a minor. Her soul also admitted when asked that more than one person in the family including her uncle had sexual advances towards her when she was 12-13 and she was later married to "protect the family asset." In the Chris Brown video remixing "Don't Think They Know" with Aaliyah, there was a lot of imagery where the Bloods that Chris Brown initially was a part of represented "The Family music business" with children and adults -- it was a homely vibe but your royalties are diminished by two layers of pyramid schemes. Then Chris Brown moved and joined the Crips, which were more males, which represented "rappers and industry sharks like Dame Dash" that Aaliyah associated herself with to remove herself from the family business and deal directly with labels. Near the end of the music video, the whites of Chris Brown eyes were shown representing her death and the last scene had him be with all different colors and children as a depiction of heaven, representing unity and no longer associating gang-organized crime by colors. Aaliyah was very intuitive and realized that her talent is multiplied by image for her branding of music to sell -- There are plenty of talented individuals that became ghostwriters because the general public requires image, which creates the branding package to drive sales and relevancy. Therefore, half the interview in one of the channeling sessions had her soul emphasize how protective she was of her image and how her image was affected in a series of events in her life. In terms of Kelly's current image, her soul says that his reactions to the accusations have gotten him to look more guilty than who he actually is and that he himself was in servitude of his environment being born into these type of families with entertainment expectations.
Both Channelers made it their point to revile R Kelly as their separate opinion, but when they asked her soul about it, she explained that R Kelly is a sweet person ("sweet" being a word she commonly said in a particular intonation -- remember this is her soul speaking in the present and not from past conversations with Dame) who wants to do good but has different compartments in his head, where he forgets all the misdeeds that he did or was a part of, from issues stemming from his own upbringing of musical servitude and sexual abuse, which alter his perception towards females. Kelly and Aaliyah have similar backgrounds in victimhood from similar family pressures to succeed and be harvested for wealth and status to benefit the gang-organized crime ring AKA the family-run music business, so a lot of things her soul said was deemed "normal" sounds outrageous for the general public to hear and were brushed under the rug to keep moving forward. Her soul said things were done behind the scenes to protect the image of both and cannot be directly explained because the general public wouldn't understand it. Her parents were well aware she was pregnant and got the paperwork to get a marriage certificate to get an abortion, where the hormone imbalance stunted some of her growth as a woman. The channeler saw some type of pill being exchanged through a mouth to mouth kiss between Kelly and Aaliyah. The marriage was not out of love but was a ritual exchange of goods and services to protect both families' musical assets, like back when royal families strategically married to form alliances and to exchange their resources more evenly. The marriage was initially set up to protect Aaliyah from being preyed by the sexual predators of the industry when in studio collaborations, but that ended up being R Kelly and blackballed her career by her second album to work with new producers after the marriage certificate leaked by a rival record company. Since Aaliyah's first album was mostly produced and written by R Kelly, it may have also been used for accounting purposes to split the profits more evenly or claim tax benefits once they were married to satisfy both family-ran music businesses (which is similar to Jay-Z's and Beyonce's marriage seen more as a business merger). It was later annulled because the public found out, which leveraged the outrage towards Kelly to give up the proceeds of his first 3 albums to Aaliyah's family, except that Barry managed both artists, so the majority of the money literally moved from his left pocket to his right pocket.
Her soul said Aaliyah realized that she could wield her sexuality, body, and confidence as a flirtatious tool in exchange for goods and services without having to participate in sexual acts to be worth value and move into that power. For the sake of her image gaining relevancy to rise up the pyramid scheme to have more control and autonomy over her career, she was proud and not ashamed to use it because of how sexualized the industry is. She used her sexuality as her empowerment to woo strong male figures into her life that she could trust (DMX, Dame) to protect her more from her family and shady industry individuals who 'expected' her to perform for granted and on harsh schedules/deadlines without much royalties going to her. Her soul reflected and said that she should have taken the industry for granted instead of deeming it as a chore to complete, and instead should have taken a break, where she could have gotten married and had kids with Dame regardless of limelight relevancy, which she still regrets not being able to start her own family. Her soul made it a point to analyze her facial expressions to when she was "feeling it" or when it was done out of haste to impress certain authorities. Her soul said that manipulating sexuality for personal gain does destroy something within you spiritually but she was incorporating it for the image and hopefully fans can separate what is depicted by the media versus what truly happened. Her soul said that Aaliyah really loved Dame Dash and what benefited her was that Dame was the cofounder of Rocafella records, which would have gotten her leverage and the connections to move away from her family-ran music label and directly negotiate her deal. Her soul said that her uncle was nefarious and he was losing control and rank in the pyramid scheme that he made with his music label. She was in the middle of being freed from Blackground records to record new material under her control but because she died, he got to keep the majority of the unreleased recordings while her estate was responsible for her image. As stated, the image in tandem with the artistic talents in music are multiplied to propel the branding for relevancy and sales. The estate doesn't want her music to profit the wrong individuals in the family business except that both need to work together for her legacy to be revived. She has a heartfelt message to her fans who uphold and still bring her legacy into prominence after all these years.
Outside of Whitney Houston (that she is really good friends with), her soul kept on pointing to Jennifer Lopez to the channeler in terms of similarities in industry arrival -- JLo was doing dance, Latin, and pop music on her first albums before she transitioned into hip hop and R&B with the help of industry heads in Diddy and Tommy Mottola buying leftover shelved demos from Usher and Brandy, etc and emulating Mariah Carey singles before having Ashanti and Natasha Ramos, etc craft her next singles. JLo leveraged her sexuality to woo heads of record labels (similar to the gentler, natural relationship that Aaliyah found with Dame), where JLo was used to fill the R&B void that Aaliyah left, outside of the rise of Ashanti, Mya, Beyonce, Ciara, Keri Hilson, revival of Monica, etc where Missy was helping some of them succeed. Aaliyah would have found a more flattering way to produce hits and be a trendsetter without harming relationships with other artists in the industry. At the time of her Red album, she said her uncle and his shady industry partners were losing the battle for control and custody over her and she was supposed to be set free from her Blackground label. Her soul said Jay-Z was nefariously scheming over her but wanted her to be in servitude for him in marriage, which is why in the pictures Jay grabbed her by the waist to dance with her (pay attention to facial expressions, similar to how worried she looked at the Nas I Am album release party). She said Jay was wanting to control her towards something sinister to cover up his own insecurities, and that he wanted to teach her a lesson for choosing Dame (which was also why later Dame got screwed out the deal when Rocafella folded and was sold to Def Jam). The Rocafella hand symbol was just a representation reminder for those climbing the pyramid to aim for the top, for how the industry is structured. For example, Kanye took advantage of Rocafella Records and Dame Dash by having his creative output of The College Dropout without the standardization of how rap records were supposed to sound like, where every song Aaliyah sang about was about Love and relationships for R&B records, dictated by her uncle. She was more in control and freeform being in a relationship with Dame, where she said she truly loved him, had a heart connection, and was happy with him.
Upon reflecting on the day of her death, her soul said that her uncle was losing leverage towards controlling her (where she made the majority of the record label's profits) and how she was about to be freed from her uncle's record label. The shady industry conglomerates that her uncle had shady dealings with were also upset and her soul said there were a consortium of shadowy industry conspirators that wanted her demise to control and profiteer off her discography had she died, from how 2Pac and Biggie's music sold way more as one last huzzah before they were supposed to get out their initial contracts and launch their own independent labels. Given that Blackground did a new deal with Virgin Records for her Red album after leaving Atlantic after OIAM, look into Richard Branson (who was associated with Jeffery Epstein, a wall-street magnate) and how the new label backed out and dropped Aaliyah when she died so they wouldn't have to pay for funeral services. Because Aaliyah was dropped from Virgin records after death, Blackground records stopped receiving payments and the funeral bill of $60k went to the estate to cover, where Maxwell picked up the tab. Obviously, she had a premonition dream about her death being floating and weightless from some entity chasing her where all her worries wisped away.
She had a bad feeling about the plane. Her soul reflected that there was something wrong with the airplane tire pressure and one of the airplane instruments was being tampered with and was malfunctioning done on purpose to sabotage the plane. The heavyset man was probably her 300 pound bodyguard discussing some type of deal with the pilot to get them back into the states that she wasn't paying attention to happening in the background. She said that the pilot was the fall guy placed in that position and that the autopsy report saying that there were traces of cocaine and alcohol was a "media trick" to impress upon the public something was at fault with the pilot. It was said that the airplane pilot was the son of a veteran pilot and he had many undocumented hours when flying as a kid with his dad because he had an innate skill to fly without having proper documentation procedures. The pilot was put in this predicament of being on probation for stealing airplane parts and was pressured to fly to keep his job. Her soul said that at the time, she was blind sighted by her anger and the pursuit for her career to be successful and to prove the executives at Virgin Records wrong that 'Rock the Boat' was a good single to be release for her album. Because of this anger, he soul said that she claimed responsibility for flying out a day early to catch other deadlines of recording the Timbaland remix to more than a woman and a feature with Freeway in Miami and that the pressures that resulted in her decisions and actions created hasty judgement overlooking the obvious danger signs and common sense of overloaded/unbalanced luggage. She said that once they were in the air and the plane began to dip and the pilot had to readjust, it was reported in the autopsy report that she died of a shock to the system from a weak heart, suggesting that she was in a coma. She was found 20 feet away from the wreckage where there was one bruise on her forehead and she was in a fetal position. One of the channelers said that when she fainted in midair from her anxiety of flying, she actually felt no pain from the impact and transitioned to the other side where there was a rescue for her soul by her Grandmother that she honored on her red album.
Her soul said that it took her soul 4 years after her death to piece together what had happened that lead her down this path and how to correct for it. She said in her afterlife, she is surrounded by older women as guidance, especially her Grandmother and Whitney, to learn the lessons of not choosing her mortal life path to be stuck in this life of expectation and servitude of having entertainment as a chore to complete for the dangling pursuit of true freedom, but to choose freedom from expectations the minute it appears instead of toil in the guise of it being a careereputation to uphold. She was on the right path towards finding true love with Dame without using marriage as a business pact. She got the upper hand but because she was so low on the pyramid structure of the industry, the powers that be can pull the plug or interfere from her attempts to get free even though she came so close into doing so. Her soul has learned to not pattern her lifetime to be born into these families with entertainment expectations. She said that life is one big stage and some choose the spotlight but everyone has this expectation to contribute to become something. Certain families that your soul ends up being born in have certain agendas for their kids -- they give you the luxuries of life but you have to serve their agenda instead of letting souls pick up life on how they naturally want to be. Her soul said that in order to correct this, she is thriving in the afterlife towards identifying who she really is and recognize the pattern of what life she wants to pick up next without falling into the same situations. My thoughts are that she was so different and had so much style and swag and stood alone that she was a trendsetter without being one by proving to the public she can be her own without following any previous standards or expectations. Even though she was put into that life, she took over and quintessentially became her own person with humility, class, and grace -- people eventually become divas almost as a defense mechanism because of how brutal the industry is towards casting judgement or casting falsehoods about your character because of their struggle for power, greed, and control.
Her souls' words to her mother said that she loved and forgave her in terms of being casted the expectations to perform in industry at such a young age before she had her own impressions of what she wanted in life. She had a lot of good laughter and fond memories but it was in a somber tone due to all the secrets kept. Her soul said that she loved her brother with a lot of emotion and she will never speak badly about him for defending her reputation. She said industry politics got in the way of true progress on her legacy and it wasn't up to the spiritual realm for when her legacy is fully restored to the public. Her soul said that she sacrificed the parts of herself that she understands and identifies with now for the branding and the image of Aaliyah but nobody can decide who you choose your life to be but it is manipulated by the media and family to chase certain ideologies and lifestyles over others. The last message her soul had was that there is a 10 year old girl with her similar looks and poise that they are bringing to the public, who also have this strong connection to her Grandmother, except that this is coming from another entertainment family where the kid is positioned to perform out of expectation and they are drawing inspiration from Aaliyah to mimic and recreate her energy for another money grab.
