Hello Reddit. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for around 10 months now (this is my first relationship). We are both in college and just met this year. He treats me amazingly and is a great boyfriend, and I love him very much. I also find him attractive and I enjoy being with him. However, I do not have a high sex drive (he does) and do not really enjoy doing sexual stuff with him.
Additionally, since the beginning of the relationship, I have noticed I am still attracted to other people and I could totally see myself being with them. Not really in a relationship type of way or even sex, but I do love flirting and would even make out with them if I wasn't with my boyfriend (I have never cheated and also not sure whether this is supposed to happen when you're in a relationship).
I am not sure if I should tell him that I am attracted to other people, and here's why. I am soon moving to another state very far away, which we knew from the beginning of the relationship. We both agreed to not do long distance and just break up, so I do not know if telling him is worth it. He is extremely jealous and a bit insecure, so I do not want to make him upset.
This being said, my boyfriend is an amazing person, and I really love him. This is not a question about whether I should or should not break up with him (since that's already happening because of distance), but whether I should tell him and also what do I do about my attraction toward others? Is it just me or is there a tragic lack of competitions for non- Dan grades in the UK? I’ve done judo for nearly 3 years now and in that time, I’ve come across maybe 2 competitions (on my side of the country) that apply to me and my fellow Kyu grades that are all older than 16.
It is difficult to find competitions that welcome players older than school age and I was wondering if this is just a UK problem or is this widespread?

Hey everyone! I just recently graduated with my BS in Aviation Management! I'm currently doing an internship with the international airport near me and I'm considering getting my C.M. and was wondering if it was worth it?
I'm honestly not loving being over at the airport (just seems like not the best environment) and I just finished up an internship with an airline and am trying to go back to that airline.. I just know that the CM has good knowledge but is it worth the cost if I'm thinking I'm going to go airline??

I wasn't sure where else to take this question and I didn't have anyone IRL to ask.
I am 17F and I have hair down to my waist. Taking care of it is frustrating, it's difficult to brush, I'm not good at styling it, it will still be damp in the evening when I wash it in the morning, ect. Sure, it is attractive on me but it's more effort than it is worth imo.
When I asked my mum if I can have it cut to my shoulders she flat out said no. I told her why I wanted it cut and she then said she would talk to my dad. He said he's happy for me to cut it. My mum still won't let me get it cut though. She is saying she doesn't have to listen to dad about this because it is a sin for a woman to get more than a trim and he's telling her to sin.
I have also wanted to get into Crossfit as a hobby that will be good for my health. My dad is fine with me going and he's happy to pay. Mum is kinda ignoring that though.
She says I might be tempted to sin if left alone with the young men at Crossfit.. if you catch my drift. I haven't even held a guys hand before, I want to remain a virgin till marriage. She just sees me as some wild hormonal animal who can't even be at a group fitness class without supervision. She also thinks that it will make me bulk up huge, "gross" and masculine. I know a lot about HPE and as a woman this won't happen accidentally and I am actually aiming to slim down. She thinks it's disrespectful to my future husband to do this "damage" to my body.
When I try to talk to dad about anything like this that my mum and I disagree on I get in trouble. My mum tells me that it's disobedient to go to my dad and she has asked before if I want to cause problems in their marriage. If I cause them to divorce by talking to my dad that's sin too. When I talk to my dad I don't do it to be a homewrecker. I just want to express my opinions to someone who might listen. That being said he doesn't like to argue with mum so even though she won't listen he won't push the issue.

Just for pure curiosity I decided to try lifeflow meditation 2.0 tracks because I was very curious about it after reading an old post.
So I did my preparation, went to bed and started the tape, it's meant to be used without focus levels so I just waited and relaxed on the nice pleasing sounds.
I think I got in the right state of consciousness for that tape because as soon as I opened my eyes I saw a dude in a tunic with a shadow face looking at me in front of my room door.
I was in a really wierd state of consciousness I wasn't able to control my body really well and I was in a rather ambiguos situation I was switching continuosly in my mind from pure fear to funny ass hell laughing.
Then I decided to interrupt the session and guess what...the dude in reality was my gaming chair with a white tshirt on it.

My husband and I planned this pretty much last minute (decided to go to Iceland a few weeks ago and booked it! We have a 4x4 through Blue Car, and all of our hotel reservations are made. I’m just noticing certain overlaps, like the heavy focus on “time control” and the Zonai are similar to Nomai, both in name, and also that they are 3-eyed goat-like alien creatures with wavey white hair… also, their headdress/masks somewhat (albeit loosely) resemble the Nomai spacesuit.

I'm playing SC on an i7 9700f + GTX 1660 + 32GB Ram + 2 1TB ssd drives on Windows 11. I'm playing at 1080p limited to 60 fps (my monitors refresh rate) and consistently get in the low 30's fps wise with an occasional significant dip in physics intensive situations and the cities. All settings on high except clouds which are at medium and the game plays pretty smooth for me.
As an owner of older hardware, I've been told this is pretty good. So I thought I'd share many of the numerous steps I've taken to get the game where it is for me to hopefully help any players with lower spec machines like mine. This will also be an opportunity for me to hear from others with more knowledge or experience on what I may have done wrong or could be doing better
A list of stuff I've done to improve performance in SC (as comprehensive as I could make it, but I may have forgotten some steps):

WINDOWS SPECIFIC

1. Disabled Full Screen optimization and run SC as Admin (Properties panel, Compatibility tab)
   
2. Used Reg Edit to set SC to High Priority
   
3. Whitelisted SC in your PC's antivirus
   
4. Tried playing with Game Mode on and off (Some have reported degraded performance with it on, but I haven't noticed an appreciable difference either way)
   
5. Disabled Windows Game Bar (different from Game Mode)
   
6. Moved my Page File to my second SSD and set it to 1.5x my Ram (48GB)
   
7. Used Empty Standby List to clear the Standby List on my RAM and set it to run automatically at startup
   
8. Used Winaero Tweaker to turn off Windows ad tracking and any unused features (don't need touchscreen controller if you don't have a touchscreen)
   
9. Used Chris Titus Tech Windows 10/11 Toolbox to enable Ultimate Power Performance Plan and to trim even more fat off of Windows
   
10. Used MSI Utility (not Afterburner, this is different) and made sure my Graphics card had the MSI box checked. Some people change the interrupt priority to high as well, but I've heard that can make the game significantly more unstable)
    
11. Used TCP Optimizer to boost my internet performance since SC's performance is heavily impacted by the health of ones internet connection (I have to use WiFi to connect online and average between 85 to 100 ping)
    
12. I ended up adding an AiO cooler to my rig even though my hardware doesn't technically need it and it made a world of difference (But I live in the Deserts of Arizona, USA)
    
13. Used MSI afterburner's auto overclock feature to run a mild, stable overclock (others have reported serious issues between SC and Afterburner. I personally haven't had any though, YMMV)
    
14. Used Riva Tuner Statistics (comes with Afterburner) to frame limit SC to my moniters refresh rate (60Hz/60fps)
    
15. Turned off Core Isolation in the Windows Security settings (this does leave ones device more vulnerable to malicious software however)
    

Something I didn't do because my CPU is older Gen is to turn off E-Cores in my CPU. My CPU doesn't have E-Cores
The other thing I didn't do (because the BIOS on my HP branded proprietary motherboard is hot garbage) is to doublecheck that my RAM is running at its rated clock speed (it isn't and can't)

NVIDIA SPECIFIC

1. Used DDUninstaller to remove my old NVIDIA drivers and reinstalled using NVCleanstall to remove unneeded bloat and tracking software in the drivers
   
2. Used the NVIDIA Profile Inspector (not Control Panel, different utility again) to change NVIDIA Predefined Ansel Usage to Disallow
   
3. Forced off all GSYNC features since my monitor doesn't support it and turned on all rBAR features even though it isn't unsupported on my card (improves fps anyways for some reason)
   
4. Disabled MPO (Multiplane Overlay) using Reg Edit (NVIDIA suggests doing this for their cards and even provides a script file on their website to do it for you and NVCleanstall can do it as well)

A question form my friend:
When I moved to Portugal from the UK I opened a Portuguese bank account in GBP and transfered my pounds there. Now I realised that this bank charges extortionate 0.25-0.50% of the transfer amount with the minimum of around £30. On the contrast, euros appear to be transferred for a small fixed fee, regardless of the amount.
Converting pound to euros is not an option as the same bank of course has impressively bad exchange rates.
Is there a way to make a transfer from that shark bank elsewhere without paying those extortionate fees? Are there GBP-friendly banks in Portugal?

I’ve been in 4 serious relationships in my life so far - each of them better than the last one and this one was hands down the best one i’ve had. I love this girl with my whole heart and it’s the most fun I’ve had with a person ever. That feeling is mutual.
When we first started seeing each other she mentioned an ex boyfriend who was super fucked up (abusive in all sorts of ways) and that was her first relationship. She left it cause she caught him cheating. I also got out of a serious relationship around the same time so both of us were in the mindset of not getting into relationships anytime soon - until we met each other in the most perfect romcom way. first day of class were the only ones who didn’t check the email that the prof moved the class online for the day and since then we have been together. until two days ago.
about a month ago she wanted to break up because she was feeling overwhelmed and she figured out it was because of her not fully getting over and internalizing what had happened with her ex two years ago - she builds up a wall that she doesn’t know how to tear down. we decided to talk less and see each other less to see if that space would help and it was going well. friday she told me she can’t wait to work on herself so we can get back to ther because i’m everything she looks for in a relationship and she also said that on monday when she called to break up with me but she just said she can’t do this anymore because she doesn’t see herself being ready for a relationship anytime in the near future and she doesn’t want to drag me along because we both love each other.

With peace and love ethan. As someone who experienced the combo as recently as this April, there's no chance there's even an ounce of poop on the colonoscopy camera.
They make you stop eating more than 24 hours prior. On top of that, they require you to drink the most disgusting and the most SATANICALLY STRONG Laxative x2. I nearly sued my fucking GI doctor istg! The force with which I shat..... My soul was in the toilet... at some point during it, I know I surpassed hunger ff's PR. No hyperbole... I was entirely convex, inverted, and inside out by the end. Imagine a raisin. That was me until after the procedure.
In conclusion, no poop remained so no poop on the camera. They also sent me photos of my insides. Squeaky clean!
(I was knocked out btw. Full anasthesia. Some people in the members vid chat were saying you have to be awake for safety of something. Lies!)

About me: I’m a big tall boy 😤😤 at 6’3, I have blue eyes and dark blonde hair and wear glasses cause my eyes don’t work so good🤓, I have lots of different hobbies like rowing, playing video games, watching one piece and rizzing you up. i feel like i’m being overdramatic, and it’s embarrassing how much i’m being affected by it, but i had a haircut today
i hate haircuts because i find it very uncomfortable having someone that close to my face, and hair touching my face etc, but we have a hairdresser that comes to the house, so i get to sit in my own chair in my house and it makes me feel a bit more comfortable. I get the same trim every time she comes, but each time she has she always says she prefers to have photos to look at.
I found a photo online that looks identical to my haircut and i rehearsed exactly what i was going to say a lot to explain it and my mum even said she was proud of how well i communicated it, but when she finished cutting my hair (there was no mirror while it was being done) i looked in the mirror and she’s cut more off than she usually would and she said she would. It’s not that the haircut looks bad, but it’s not what i wanted and expected. I’ve been crying all evening and had my hood up because it makes me so anxious seeing or feeling how different it is. I’ve shutdown now because i felt so stressed and overwhelmed.
Has anyone experienced something like this before and how did you deal with it?

not my PRs, just the routines I do. I do 3 separate levels of weights for both.
It feels like they both put me through strain. Dead lifts are a bit tricky considering my back is usually something I worry about because I'm fat (i have good form i think but I feel like my weight is a problem there).
actual question: I sort of want open ended answers where people just give me advice about this since I feel like this could be optimized a ton. But basically, should I always go a step higher for dead lift ?
