About me: 25 M here in the east coast of the US trying to unwind from work. Kinda shy, but I open up rather quick when meeting new people. Very lax in terms of communicating, it's cool if you want to talk every day, but if we only chat here and there then that's cool too
Hobbies: Gaming is a big one. Mainly play on PC but also enjoy the switch. Very excited for these showcases coming up as well. I also have been trying to find my love for anime again! I recently went to a convention and had a blast so if you also go to those or have a recommendation for a show feel free to let me know! I also really enjoy cooking/baking c: I find it very relaxing, and delicious to cook up something

Hello Reddit and fellow Roleplayers!
I'm working on perfecting my posts to obtain the partners I am looking for! As always, this post may be a tad lengthy but I feel it’s important as the society of role-players changes, to be even more clear about what I am looking for and willing to role play from the get go. First let me start by saying that I am not looking to replace any partners simply add another to my day. I am looking for somebody who is literate, detailed, and capable of responding at least 2-3 times daily, generally, I say generally because of my own work schedule and my understanding that life happens. My longest without a response will usually be 24 hours at the most however I am usually still able to chat OOC. I will always notify my partners if I will be away for an extended period or if my focus on the RP directly will be delayed and it is my expectation that you communicate with me like an adult and grant me the same courtesy. Life happens I get it, much like anybody else I don't want to be left in the dark wondering that's all :)
That brings me to my next topic, I love to chat OOC and really get to know the individual behind the phone, so if you are not that type of person please do not apply! I love world building and character building and development as well as plot development. Next up I am not interested in playing with F characters that are damsel in distress style. I like female characters that are strong, independent and can hold their own in most situations and scenarios, those who aren’t afraid to take charge. I don’t expect them to lead everything but I do except some independence. Along with this I’d like you to be able to play multiple characters so we can share the weight of the story development!
I’m open to most genres but have found my self in:
-Slice of Life with drama -Knights, Medieval, Pirates, Cyberpunk, Apocalypse, etc. -Historic with mild alterations -Westerns Please note I enjoy romance with my stories but I enjoy adding extra items such as drama, plot twists, grit, angst, and the like so it does not at all have to be cliché sappy and what not.

Hello all, I've made a post to see if I can find the right kind of people for me with similar values when it comes to forming a close and supportive friendship. I have often found it draining to have to keep messaging so many people online that I'd like to limit any potential pitfalls as much as possible when it comes to making friends online. From my experience, a lot of friendships don't seem to work out when there is not as much initiation from both sides which is something that I really value. I really appreciate direct and honest communication along with a willingness to work through things. I expect a certain amount of effort when it comes to responses. Although I tend to have higher standards when it comes to friends, I do not want that to deter others from wanting to reach out as I am quite open and understanding. I'm a 22-year-old and in my final year of college. I'm majoring in psychology as I want to be able to become a therapist/counselor and help others out where possible. Once I graduate, I am planning to pursue a master's degree in counseling. I live on the east coast side of the US and my MBTI personality type is INFJ as well. It's usually easier to mention this ahead of time but I have a physical disability that requires me to use a wheelchair.
Some of my interests and activities that I enjoy doing include playing games on pc, ps5, and switch, learning about other people and their experiences, watching videos or shows online, and voice chatting. Basically, anything where we can spend time together online in some way. A few of my favorite games are Final Fantasy 14, Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3, Persona 5, Pokemon, Skyrim, and The Witcher 3. I am also open to talking about and trying out other games. As for shows and watching videos, I do enjoy watching anime from time to time and wouldn't mind watching them with others. Additionally, if you have any suggestions or things you like to watch I would be happy to watch those as well. We could even just watch stuff on youtube which is where I usually go lol.
I'm looking for the kind of one-on-one friendship where we can message/talk about whatever is on our minds throughout the day and be able to share everyday and deeper, more meaningful conversations. I enjoy having conversations on philosophical topics, anything science or education related, asking random questions, and psychology (of course) or mental health in general. It would be great to have long-term friends who prioritize a consistent, genuinely caring friendship and who are willing to put in the same amount of effort. I want to have friendships where we can open up to each other as much as we are comfortable with and be able to check in on each other.
I'm not expecting to become great friends with everyone but I am willing to give others a fair chance. Realistically, I want to invest in just a few quality friendships. Building a good friendship takes time and I only want to have friends who are specifically looking for something long-term. As long as you are willing to show that you value building the kind of friendship that I do, that is what I care about most.

We’re both 20 and in college and we just started dating recently. However, in a little under two months I’ll move away from the west coast to the east coast when school starts again and I have no idea when it even if I’ll ever come back to the west coast or if she would ever move to the east coast. I think logically it’s a stupid idea to continue a relationship after only dating for two months but has anyone known personal stories of something similar actually working out?

Hi all. Hopefully someone like me who practices a non monogamous lifestyle is welcome to post here. I'm hoping to find some new females friends, and if I'm lucky, potentially someone I can grow with into a partnership.
A little bit about me....I'm 34, I am exploring polyamory and I've been with my wife for almost 11 years. We have been exploring poly for almost a year or so. She came out to me, and I've been trying to figure out the best way to make the lifestyle work for myself. We have two wonderful children together, and we have a bunch of cats because we love cats and we might have issues with cute aggression.
I love playing sports. I'm a big basketball guy. I play golf, I was a college bowler, and I generally enjoy competition. I've put on some weight since college, but I'm dieting now and trying to get healthy. I definitely play video games a lot more now, but I do enjoy getting outside and going to social gatherings with my wife. I'm generally a wallflower but I do like meeting new people and enjoying the company of people I'm with.
In terms of what I'm looking for...well, as far as friends go I definitely don't discriminate so if we have shares interests then I'm definitely interested in getting to know you better.
In terms of a partner? The above still applies, but I am very much a giver...and so while I don't mind getting to know people who are already partnered, someone who is solo poly or open to being poly would be ideal because I give a lot of attention and I always try to make my partner feel loved and feel special. Age doesn't matter too much, though I prefer someone to be kind of around my age (34) and be a bit health conscious.

I am located on the east coast and I am trying to understand exactly what time frames count as an "intraday" or day trading margin for Micro E-minis /MES. I've read articles, watched videos, looked through this reddit and for some reason I haven't across a clear answer.
So if I have an account with Optimus Futures, with Ironbridge, the day trading margin requirement for 1 MES contract is $40. Whenever I get to the point to where I feel comfortable enough to trade futures with real money, I only plan to scalp/day trade. My understanding is that this $40 margin would be required from 9am to 4:45pm EST.
My question is, am I able to "day trade" or trade MES under the same $40 margin requirement after 6pm est if I plan to exit the position before the beginning of the next session? I know "overnight" margin requirements are much higher. But what if you enter after the session break, say 7pm est and sell at 10pm eastern time? Am I only having to put up $40/ contract?

Looking for places to move to after I graduate. I'm from the east coast and I lived in California for a few years, and I want to be somewhere that's kind of similar to Los Angeles in terms of film industry and weather but with better infrastructure and work-life balance.
Not sure if I'll do my Master's in the US (studying media/arts, will likely do Master's in graphic design/communication) and would like ideas on if it would be a good idea to stay in the US for that or not and where to go.
In terms of locations if I do leave, my main options right now are Spain and Australia (and California if I stay in the US probably). I have friends and family in the UK and Ireland but weather is pretty important. Suggestions for cities that are sort of similar to Los Angeles?

Hello everyone I(28F) currently am in a relationship with my bf(31M) of 9 years! I love him and want to be with him just sometimes I wonder what would happen if we split! Some backstory is I graduated in 2013 never went to school or anything after. I met my bf two months after graduation I was still living at home. We talked for about 6 months then started dating November of 2013. Decided to move in together April of 2014. During the time in between I still lived with my parents. We both worked and paid bills. In 2018 he got a great job offer he couldn’t refuse. We had to move from the Midwest(US) to the East Coast(US). We couldn’t afford two cars when we first moved so I didn’t work (it was easier this way). I take care of the house and cooking etc. for the last 5 years not complaining at all. We now can afford a lifestyle where I don’t have to work. I’m thankful for it but I also know that it’s not really mine. Lately for some reason I really think about the fact I’ve never been alone in my life and worry that if we ever split I wouldn’t have anything and it scares me. I’ve been thinking about trying to take classes. I also feel guilty though because I would be using his money to possibly fund a future for myself if I needed it. I feel secure with him but I always hear the older women in my life “make sure you look out for yourself” and “start a savings fund for yourself just in case and don’t tell anyone you have it”. Also I want to clarify he lets me use the money on whatever I want but it’s still the money he’s earned himself! This is hypothetical at this point but any advice or anyone who has been through it stories are welcome!

I sent my 2019 dodge caravan SXT to a shop to have the rack n pinion replaced and an alignment afterwords. I paid, got out to start my van and it was hard starting with a check engine light on that wasn't there before. It would turn over but after 4 times the usual time to crank. I never had issues with that before.
They brought it back in and said they think it is a sensor. They named the sensor but I can't remember what the name of the sensor was. He said it is in the vicinity of the rack and they might of knocked it.
What is this sensor? And how easy is it for someone to whack it while replacing a rack. N pinion on a dodge caravan?
I'm curious because this summer I have numerous east coast road trips planned, with the nearest being 2 days away. I don't want to get stranded and unable to start the vehicle.

Hello! I am looking for suggestions for schools to apply to this coming fall. I am currently a rising senior at a somewhat prestigious college with a 3.5 gpa. I am taking the LSAT in August (currently scoring in the 172-5 range on practice tests). I am a first generation college student, double major, on student government, president of an org, and I am also on a few college committees. I am looking to stay on the East Coast for law school, and am looking for recommendations of where to apply! Any advise is greatly welcomed!

Hello wingfoilers, I'm a former surfer who's excited to try this growing sport and looking to buy a wing and get out there ASAP. I'm trying to get a handle on what good wing dealers exist for the US (East coast). I've heard some reports here of it taking some of you months to get your wing and I don't want to miss the summer season. Any recommendations on dealers with good stock who can ship fast? Just looking for a wing for now (ideally Cabrinha). Thanks.
