Hello gentlemen,
I am looking to purchase a Z. Starting off by saying there are not many at all in my area, so options are limited.
All the lower priced Z’s are roadsters, I prefer the coupe, but have seen some hard tops/targa conversions. Don’t know if hard tops are still attainable. But this would sway me more to considering the roadsters, as it would increase my options.
Also there’s two low kms/mileage Z’s at 40k miles, going for 20-22kusd. I want to own the Z for as long as I can and put some $ into it as a project car. The significantly cheaper models(almost half the price) have much higher mileage 100k - 200k.
Should I strongly consider the lower (40k miles) option or does it not matter that much? Has anyone had an engine replacement on theirs, what was their experience? Is this a good enough wild card to hold as a backup.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

For the past 24 days, the Gold Spot (Xau/Usd) has been falling steadily. Price has broken below the higher low at the 1983 zone and has been forming resistance at that level. This looks like a sell trap is forming. I am expecting a push to the 2010-2016 area to clear sellers liquidity before gold potentially melts down to the 1920-1900 area.

So, a quick side note. As the title says, I graduated with the class of 2020 during the pandemic. Even though being separated from my friends was a tough pill to swallow while getting through school at home, I managed to make it to the end and I'm proud that I did.
A second side note is that this is gonna be a long post, so just stay with me here and read to the end.
Anyway, the main story is about a student who was just another bully that other students would avoid. Except he wasn't a bully that would beat up any students. He was the type that sometimes didn't know when to keep his mouth shut. And I actually don't remember if he would target any other students besides me. Also, I remember learning that he has Autism, which explained some of the things that he would do.
Now, I also have Autism, but I'm very high functioning, meaning you wouldn't know I have it unless I told you. And I'm able to do what a lot of other people with Autism can't do, but I still have my kinks. And I remember that this student was kind of a mixture of low and high functioning, as he would do things and talk about things that were sometimes okay and sometimes not okay.
Anyway, the different things that this student would do and talk about sometimes made him look like an absolute nutcase to me and a lot of other students. I remember just having a personal hatred towards this student, as he would find different ways to really irritate me on a regular basis. What made it worse is that he rode the bus to school with me and junior year ended up having his assigned locker right next to mine. We even had a couple of classes together Senior year, which made the situation even worse.
Out of all the things he did to irritate me, there was one that made me shout at him and I nearly wanted to start to physically get him to stop messing with me and to leave me alone. The two of us happened to be standing near each other in the same area, which happened to be in front of the service desk.
As I was minding my own business, he said my name to get my attention, but did it in a really weird voice tone that sounded like he was flirting with me, which made me tell myself to prepare for him to say something stupid. I calmly responded asking what he wanted, and in the same flirty voice tone, preceeded to tell me that I'm cute. I knew for a fact that he wasn't gay, and neither am I, so him saying that immediately pissed me off. If it was a female student that had said that to me, I would have acted differently. But since it was him, I was fuming. And he had already done a lot of things to me in the past, leading up to that moment.
I turned around and started yelling at him to leave me alone. What made me even more pissed off is that he had this stupid evil looking smirk on his face, which almost made me lash out and punch him. I was stopped by one of the adults standing near us, and was told to walk away and calm down. I should add, a few of the teachers, the guidance counselor, and the school director knew about my situation of me hating that student, so they would always help me try and calm down whenever I had an anger filled interaction with him.
Another thing this student would do would happen sometimes on the bus ride to school. He would pull out his phone and open up YouTube. He would play this video that is, in my opinion, one of the most uncalled for videos on YouTube. It was a video that played a song that was created by one of the terrorist groups in the Middle East. If I remember correctly, the song would talk about the group's beliefs and the different war related things they would do. And the student would not only play that song out loud on the bus, but he had listened to it so many times that he was able to sing along with it, and not in English, but in the Arabic language.
I'm also not the only person that hated this student during school, there were several other students that would also avoid him the best they could. I'm also surprised that this student had his own group of friends, considering what type of person he was.
I also would sometimes see him sit in class and do nothing, meaning he wouldn't do any assignments on certain days and wouldn't turn them in for grading. We were also in the same grade each year, so going towards the end of senior year meant being given assignments that would impact our grade to help us graduate. And honestly, from what I would witness him do involving assignments that were critical for our grades, I would not be at all surprised if he didn't graduate. I actually don't know if he did or not, but the things he would do makes me think that he probably didn't.
So, as a apart of the title, I said that I feel bad about him now, because I was told later why he was doing what he did, with sometimes not knowing when to shut up and doing and saying things that were just downright stupid and uncalled for.
If I remember correctly, this student didn't have the best personal home life. His parents would ignore him a lot and didn't at all try to help him with his form of Autism. As a result, he became who he was in school when socializing with other students. He was always doing different weird things around different people because he always craved receiving attention from everyone around him. It sometimes makes me think that since high school is over, his social life might not be doing so good, because as I said, he was always craving attention from other people. I honestly hope he's not as lonely as I think he is. Unless there's the possible chance that he was held back from graduating which would at least give him some kind of social life with other students.
I hope that he's doing okay these days. He explained at one point during school that he doesn't have any form of social media, so there's no way to contact him except by a regular phone number or through other people. I honestly wouldn't even try to get into contact with him anyway, since I think there's a possibility that he still has his bullshit, attention-craving personality.
I hope I didn't sound rude or offensive at any point towards him in this post, but if I did, then I apologize. But what I explained in this post is just what I experienced whenever I interacted with him. I wish I would explain some of the other things he did, but it would be a little more difficult to try and describe, since I don't entirely remember a lot of the things he did. But I know that he did more than enough to make me brand him a complete asshole, even though I was told why he was the type of person he was known to be.

Hey I'm visiting the bay for the first time this July and looking for a 3 day road/ touring bike starting in Berkeley or SF. I'm looking to see a good cross-section of the area and keep mainly to quiet back streets, dedicated paved bike paths, and nothing *too* rugged. I was looking at the Triple Crossover Route and it looks awesome but a little too rough for my bike. Any tips are very much appreciated!

First post ever! Recently bought my first house and immediately refinished the tub. When we bought it the bottom was super messed up with chips and peeling especially a few (maybe 6 or 7) inches down from the drain.
After refinishing with a kit from Lowes, we noticed that the water sits in the area where the peeling was the worst and won't travel to the drain. I have to basically kick the water down the drain after every shower.
Any advice on how to fix it? Considering buying another kit and applying extra product where it doesn't drain to create a slope.
And before anyone asks, yes we sanded thoroughly and evenly before we refinished the tub. I'm pretty sure this issue was present before we touched the tub.

Hey there! I’m very new to bikes and recently rode my first time. I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a bike, but I have no prior experience. I’m 5’7, 194 lbs. I live in a small town and commute 40 minutes into town on the highway and through residential areas. I’m looking for pointers on my next steps and recommendations for a bike that would suit my build. I recently pulled up to an Indian, not sure the model, and liked how low to the ground it seemed.

The peoples living on the modern island protectorate of Calay and its nearby territories are known as the Calish. The Isles of Calay are called such due to the ancient name for this territory "Tir nan Calaman" which can be roughly translated as "Lands of the Dove." The origin of such a name has been the subject of much debate throughout the Isles and greater Occidis.
According to the ancient writers of the Drimion League and the Thesan Empire these lands were entitled this due to the common usage of doves in the various rites central to the religions practiced by the earlier cultures of the region. As such doves were seen as holy creatures. Icons associated with the wisest of druids and the most revered of clan chiefs. Thus it is no surprise that the peoples of ancient Calay would seek to associate themselves with these blessed birds. Other creatures like boars, wolves, and cows were also seen as important symbols to the ancient Calish. However, it is held that none were held up as highly as the fair dove.
The voluminous, and often maddening, cycles of Calish stories hold their own answer for the origin of this name. According to these legends the ancient Calish were not natively from the lands which with they are now known for. Instead they had another home, a lost homeland if you will. This fabled homeland is called "Tir nan Thuinn" which can be roughly translated as "Land of the Waves." According to these stories, the lands of this lost homeland were ruled by many different clans, much like ancient Calay. However these clans were said to be made up of people whose might and piety were second to none. They are said to have lived in a time that is now commonly called the Golden Age, the time before their was a separation between the spiritual and the material.
However, it is said the mortals of the island grew jealous of the spirits powers and immortality. The spirits are also said to have grown jealous of mortal-kinds ambitions and sense of freedom. Thus these groups, once fond friends, turned on one another. The war, commonly called the Rending of the Worlds, would result in the end of this age of unadulterated connection between the mortal world and the otherworld. The great battles of this struggle are said to have been so devastating that they caused the very lands of "Tir nan Thuinn" to be swallowed by the seas. In the end only ten mortals survived the fall of "Tir nan Thuinn." These are the legendary Five Wives and Five Husbands. Among these figures the unofficial leaders were the warrior queen Brigan and her husband the eminent bard Bregon.
For seven years these sorrowful couples wandered the endless seas, arisen due to the Rending of the Spirits. Eventually their came a day when all hope had finally be lost. These forlorn people would forever remain lost. Some sought an end through the sea. Seeking to calm such fears it was Bregon who thought to take the doves used in divination and send them out to look for lands. So it was that each couple picked their most prized dove to venture out and find them a new home. As the weeks passed into months none of the doves returned. Once again many lost hope, even Brigan and Bregon. However on the 17th month of their wandering a dove finally returned, with a small clover in its beak. This dove, the prized of Neman and Nemed, was able to give them the insight needed to find a land in these boundless waters. The lands they found were verdant, but empty. For the great spirits who once called the areas home had ether become one with the world or had been banished to the otherworld. It was thus that these peoples spread far and wide and they called their new home "Tir nan Calaman" to honor the sacred bird who led them to a worthy refuge.
Of course such a tale, while an engaging story to tell at your local bar, cannot be corroborated. It does however have some similarities to stories told by the many ancient cultures who called the varied lands closer to the Sapphire Sea home. If these similarities are taken seriously then perhaps their is some truth to this section of the typically outrageous and inconsistent Calish cycles. However, it is impossible to know. For now it is a good enough story for some. At the end of the day when it comes to most of these ancient stories, especially those rooted in cultures who tended to focus their efforts on the troubled practice of passing down history orally, separating fact from fiction is nigh impossible. Thus the search for the verifiable truth is a truly never-ending quest.
Out of Character Note: So I was trying to come up with an in world origin for the name of one of the principal nations & peoples in the setting I use for my TTRPG campaigns (low-magic & human only world). Thought of this story a few weeks ago and only now getting down to writing it down. Wanted to see other peoples thoughts on it. By the way the nation this writer is from has as had a not all together positive relationship with Calay and the Calish. (Note that Calay is a protectorate aka not an independent nation as of 892 IA, however by the time we reach the time of my most recent campaign 936 IA Calay is a once again a free nation. So this is also written a few decades before the "present day" too.) So I wanted to walk a fine line between portraying some with both a professional and genuine curiosity when it comes to trying understanding another culture, but they are also subject to the biases of their times. So hopefully any kind of offense that can be gleaned from this is not taken to be an innate truth of the setting. As I am aware that many of the names for things are derived from real world things, in real life I am an active student of history and religion so love respectfully using that stuff in my worldbuilding.

I have been in the market for a very long time for a LC and I have given up. They all seemed to be over-priced for anything 2015 and above with low mileage.
I was also looking around for pick ups at one point of time but I dropped the idea to have a 7-seater.
I boiled down my preferences to Lexus GX460 and Nissan Patrol. What do you think is better between these two, given the requirements below: 1. Daily driving between 30-80 kms, 5 days a week. 2. Long trips ( > 250 kms) will be done often with family. 3. Off-road will be in terms of wadis (rocks, water) and desert (no huge dunes, no jumping at all) 4. Long-term usgae, not looking to change for atleast 8 years. 5. Should not give me constant trouble with wear and tear for parts. 6. Better stock performance with minimal mods required initially. I'll add offroad lights and A\T Tyres. Suspension, Lift, etc. will be in the long run. 7. Power - Would I feel under-powered with a 4.6 V8 compared to the 5.7 V8? I don't care about going fast. 8. Better on-road handling and performance especially in mountaineous areas with lots of turns.
Budget: Upto AED 130K.

Basically, I need headphones that do a good job of blocking outside noise. The main use will be to speak with clients during video meetings.

My hearing is damaged on one side, and I have always avoided using headphones to help preserve my remaining hearing. As we hit summer, I'm going to need to keep windows and/or fans going in order to not overheat while working. Unfortunately I live in a loud area. So I can either sweat like a pig and have quiet, or keep a reasonable temp and have a loud environment. This is making me reconsider using headphones. My hope is to find something that blocks enough noise that I can keep the headphones at a low volume.

If it matters, I use either a mac desktop or laptop and already have an external mic that I would be using. I'm fine with either wired or not wired.

So, you see, I find games (even movies and books) fun when things escalate . Digging some blocks in a cave in Minecraft, break cobblestone, water comes out from the place you dug, and pushes you down to you're inevitable death in the lava that was way down in a nearby chasm. I think that is the beef of player-made and procedural stories. Like in Rimworld and Dwarf fotress. A point will come in a story where things start to build up and test if the "protagonist" can make come out of things successful.
I want to focus on how Brogue induces the feeling of stories well. One of the reasons could be from the fact that it doesn't induce grinding, so you're practically the same when you start a game at floor 1 compared to when you die at floor 8. The equipment based progression makes the game, though still have an aspect of luck, make you use your skill at planning than you're skill of bashing monsters. Here you're less like a powerful overlord as you go, but more of Bilbo sneaking his way past dangerous monsters - that stay dangerous. Traps that have meaning. Battles that have feeling .Monkeys that like stealing...okay, I'm getting carried away, but still, coming out victorious in a strategic battle with an Ogre can feel glorious and awe inspiring .
But now I show how Brogue, and others can and do, use these 9 ways of raising the stakes in plot from this article :
1) Create physical danger Fire? Poisonous gas? A goblin with a spear?
2) Create a secondary character who brings in new tension You're walking peacefully with your small dagger and then you encounter a monkey, trapped by kobolds. You have to rescue it before its demise. Fine. Then as you sneak your way through depth 7 a notification tells you that an Ogre is seen. If you're not ready for this you could be smashed into oblivion by one of the earliest "strong" creatures of the game.
3) Introduce new problems Okay, so you and your monkey are duking it out with this Ogre, but then you're health is running low so you take your chances and start checking those scrolls you have, maybe one will help you, though you should really have identified those scrolls in a safer environment before now. So you go through them, enchantment-you enchant your dagger, nice. Identification-you identify a scroll of anti-magic/negation. That doesn't seem too useful. Your health is draining. You then use a scroll and it's a scroll of discord! It makes monsters discordant and attack each other, but it works on allies too! Oh no! You're monkey is now hitting you too! How will you prevail?
4) Give a character a complicated situation Yeah I think that's covered.
5) Create obstacles for your hero This whole dungeon is an obstacle . For example the Ogre is an obstacle for you to get to the next depth.
6) Complicate things You decide to test your luck in running away, but as you do it you come across a vampire bat, another strong-ish enemy, not good.
7) Remind the reader(player ) of the stakes The vampire bat attacks you. Your screen flashes with a warning: "Health below 40%".(That actually does come up in the game).
8) Find ways to keep your protagonist moving from one location to another The monsters are chasing you! You have no choice but to move! (Unless you were cornered then it would be fight or die, or fight and die).
9) Add time pressure like a ticking bomb That's it, you're a little distance away from the monsters and it's potion throwing time. If it's a good potion, like that of life, it would just splash harmlessly against your target, but if it's bad, like confusion (please be confusion), the gas would envelope them.
Well, it's fire. The bottle cracks against the Ogre's body and unleashes flame unto the surrounding grassy area, spreading like-like-well like fire. For each step you move to get away the flame moves three. You need to get out quickly. Your monkey burns to death, good ridance . The Ogre is burning, though it's life is depleting slowly, and the vampire bat doesn't seem to be burning at all, it seems like it's unaffected because it's flying . You step, Fire, you are burning. Time is running out to get out of there.
Conclusion
You decide to chuck down potions, one is a potion of life - YES! Next is a potion of posion gas - NOOO . You crawl your way put of there before the poison gets to you too much. The vampire bat dies from poison! It's working. Your life is less than 40%, again. You make it out leaving the ogre and red glow of the flame behind. You did it you made it out of that situation. You're levitation wares off as you continue to explore the dungeon, but then, as you go around that battlefield to reach the stairs to depth 8, after the gas cleared, you see, battered and burned, breathing difficulty, vengence in it's eyes, the ogre at 50% health. . The ogre crudgels you from two spaces away. You try to run but the ogre charges at you with no monkey to distract it. It crudgels you. You're life is below 20%. You run. It crudgels you. The screen fades away as you - your character - dies.
Those are good things to pick from the game for immersive and player story telling, atleast for me .pushesis

I wanted to post this here because I find it so painful seeing everyone not understand what is going on and it gets auto-deleted posting it to australia, ausfinance etc because it has forbidden words.
In 2020 the total amount of USD, AUD, etc was doubled after covid to pump the broader market to keep asset prices from failing and we are now feeling the hangover effects as inflation.
The amount of money that entered the system over this period is unprecedented.
This process is referred to as QE (quantitative easing/money printing) which the central bank passes to commercial banks to create the cheap credit and new money (taken out by the rich as loans) which flowed into assets, mainly housing because it is the ultimate carrot and whip to keep the wage slave toiling.
If we double the money supply, prices on average everywhere will eventually double. More so in more desirable areas where money tends to flow to and less in less desirable areas. Asset prices go up, old home owners feel richer, and then start spending their savings or take out loans on the new equity which creates money velocity which pumps prices and gross business profits in a vicious cycle until we reach a new equilibrium.
It is a coordinated effort by central banks around the world to maintain the capitalism ponzi scheme which is why we see housing problems in most western countries.
The poor are now paying for this in the form of devalued cash, higher house prices, higher rents and higher interest rates while their wages stay fixed unless they fight for more (which is part of the value discovery mechanism that neoliberals love). When they say inflation is going back up all that means is that old rich people's spending is going up at the cost of the poor having to feed asset prices.
Western countries now need to pump immigration to maintain even more demand to pump the market whilst creating more wage slaves to keep unemployment high and wages low. This is going to create even more pressure on housing over the next two years while inflation 'normalises'.
Covid forced this wave of inflation and the current regime only knows how to print money to deal with the effects because it's the easiest and least confrontational way to add fuel to the machine. the normalisation of interest rates is the ultimate slow bleed of the poor. It is a reverse robinhood. Those just clinging on are lambs to the slaughter.
In normal times mainstream 'Economists' (who are just propaganda pieces for the rich) usually like an inflation rate of 2-3% because it keeps the fire under wage slaves whilst not pissing them off too much, whose income stay fixed relative to their devaluing cash and appreciating asset prices. It creates an artificial opportunity cost which is why they say time in the market is better than timing the market.
When you understand this rigged game of monopoly is designed like this by labor and the libs because they are owned by the rich, and the mainstream media coordinates to form the narrative to pump the market or end up homeless you will wake up from the matrix we live in.
The money supply chart told me this was coming which is why when I bought my ppor in 2021 I locked my mortgage rate at 2 percent for 4 years.

My car tires are ~10 years old now (low miles) and looking to get them replaced. The wheels are absolutely pristine (never hit a curb or anything). The thing that makes me the most nervous is they are painted wheels (black). I am deathly afraid that these wheels are going to get trashed. For those of you with vintage / premium wheels that will not tolerate sloppy work, how do you go about finding tire shops in your area that you can trust to perform immaculate work? A place that is cautious enough to put the center cap face UP when they remove it. A place the can dismount the tire without gouging the wheel. A place that will (ideally) remove the old adhesive from the old weights (cleanly) before putting on the new weights. Basically, a place run by car people that have a desire to good work out of respect for the car itself.
And in case you know of a place specifically, I am in the Phoenix area.
Also, PLEASE don't even bother recommending Discount Tire or Big O Tire, etc. Those kind of places are hit-and-miss.

I really wanna take some more courses in compsci as I’m interested and curious in the area, but I’ve already dropped one after 4 weeks in after realizing it’ll drag my GPA down.
How much should I factor in the grade vs my interests? My target is UOttawa as they have a dual JD program for Canada and US and I think they said their lower end admissions average is in the low 80s but at the moment I don’t mind keeping my options open.
Idk… should I like keep my target GPA with the low 80a minimum while taking it? Or like, should I take more mark boosting courses as per my degree requirement and for the last year, take it if I can afford the grade drop?

Honestly, I’ve worked for almost four weeks now. They have put me in the front (cashier) so I can learn the menu or what not. Idc for their reasonings. That’s what the GM told me. So obviously I’m more focused on taking orders in the front and making sure the lobby is clean because rn our store is ranked low in our area and food service is 🫏. So obviously I need to make sure the lobby is clean so customers don’t complain about that. Also I wouldn’t walk into a filthy place.
Lately they keep complaining that I need to start handling multiple things at the same time. Taking care of orders in the front. Making sure the lobby is clean. Taking curbside orders to them. Bagging the items in the bag. Putting down fries.
Talking about fries, this girl told me to help her put down fries that I didn’t even know how to do because they never taught me anything in the kitchen yet. She made a whole rant about it to a manager that they both don’t know I can’t even do anything in the kitchen yet or what not. It takes so much more me to not say anything or defend myself. But the moment I can actually just leave. Ill do it with a resignation notice.
