I actually sort of understand why he did it, he explained that he had no way of knowing that I wouldnt run back to my then husband last minute. But I hd asked for transparency at the time, and said he didn’t have to be exclusive to me but I wanted to know what was going on.
Past that, he has “digitally” cheated on me 4 times, sexting random tinder girls from our city. During that time he hd a very serious false allegation against him and was under immense stress, he also had a porn addiction that I didn’t know about. This is NOT an excuse for his behavior, just background information. The last time I caught him I gave him an ultimatum to seek therapy, he also drafted a “cheating contract” to be signed and notarized, where basically if one of us is caught cheating, we owe the other a large sum of money for emotional distress and the major household items we possess together, all go to the wronged party.
I want to trust him, trust that he’s changed, Ive read all the “will/won’t a person change” articles so spare me that narrative. We’ve had some pretty intense conversations about what has happened in the past, and it feels like he could be ready to be a good partner, or he could have just gotten better at lying.
Therein lies my paranoia. I am already not a trusting person by nature, unstable childhood with bad parents, cheated on by most of my partners in my life. So today while he was sleeping, I installed a “spy app” on his phone; I am not proud of it, but I feel like it will give me the clarity I need. It’s got a key logger, so nothing can be hidden. I feel like a piece of shit for doing this, but his word has been no good in the past, and I just need something concrete to either tell me it’s time to leave, or reassure me. I love him immensely, he makes me happy, but rebuilding trust is really difficult for me and I don’t know what else to do, i’d rather not give up on my 3 year relationship if I don’t have to.

Clearly nationalist, anti-Armenian and inhumane calls are regularly made both by the country's top leadership and ordinary citizens. The latest such example is a video widely circulated recently in the Azerbaijani media, in which one of the “eco-activists” who blocked the Lachin Corridor, with Azerbaijan's connivance, literally threatens to slaughter an Armenian on the occasion of Nowruz holiday.

Oftentimes I see a lot of critiques regarding the worldbuilding of the Hunger Games, bringing up poor military and economic planning on behalf of the Capitol, and yes Panem as a real world nation would be incredibly inefficient. But the thing is, that doesn’t really matter. At its thematic core, the Hunger Games is focused on media, entertainment, and the symbolism of revolution instead of the economic ramifications of building a society around teenage gladiatorial combat.
Taking into account Collins as a person and her own lived experiences, you can really see where from her own life she drew inspirations. Before being an author, she worked in the entertainment industry at Nickelodeon, and Collins herself even said her inspiration for the series was channel surfing on TV and moving back and forth from reporting/scenes of the Iraq war, and celebrity talk shows/reality television.
The series is filled with commentary about the entertainment system, especially with how it deals with minors, detailing how Glimmer intentionally sexualized herself by wearing a transparent dress during her interview to garner sponsors, to how Finnick was forced into prostitution when he turned 16. There’s also how Katniss and Peeta’s romance was partly just to get views and attention, or how Katniss notes that the Capitol must’ve done something to her body to prevent herself from growing body hair in the arena. It’s frequently remarked upon in the books that Katniss on her own isn’t that special. In the first books after her interview, Katniss mentions that she herself didn’t do much. She was made interesting by Prim, beautiful by Cinna, and desirable by Peeta. This continues into Mockingjay where she’s told over and over that she’s not allowed to join the combat, that she’s more valuable based on what others put on her, than anything she can do herself. She’s more useful as a symbol than a soldier. That’s why she’s given a bow instead of a gun. Sometimes symbolism and themes are more important than practicality (something that could maybe be applied to those critiques about the world of the Hunger Games).
From this, it’s pretty clear that the Hunger Games is a series about our relation to entertainment and symbolism. It doesn’t matter that we don’t get the exact production and supply chains of Panem, or a breakdown of the national budget. Collins and the audience don’t care about that, and it’s not what the story is about. Those details add nothing to the plot, characters, or themes, and might even risk weighing down the series with unnecessary details that only slow the momentum of the plot.
It’s like pointing out Fahrenheit 451 has a stupid world because no one can read and that there’s a war going on in the background. How can you organize war efforts when no one can read? In fact, how does basic society not fall apart when no one can read? How can a fairly modern world exist without accounting or record-keeping or other basic functions of society?
They’re useless critiques because Fahrenheit 451 isn’t about the literal implications of a world without books, it’s about the social consequences about shifting types of entertainment. At some point, the reader needs to just suspend their disbelief and trust the work’s themes.
The point of a dystopia is to highlight and exaggerate a problem in our real world. The problem Collins chooses to focus on is our entertainment system, not our economic or military one. She explores military propaganda, and propaganda in general, but the series is not about governance as a whole. Thematically, Panem’s military and economy just don’t matter.
Some stories are about its world and all its intricacies, like Lord of the Rings, but also, some stories merely see its world as a vehicle to convey its themes and explore its characters. Neither are good or bad, but it seems unfair to me to criticize the Hunger Games for failing to reach a goal it was never interested in.

I'm new to dungeon draft and I ran into the following problem:
I'd like to stack different layers for different floors of a building. I want the terrain of the bottom layer to be visible in all of them.
I've figured out how to reference every individual layer to the ground layer already.
But parts of the building stack a bit like a pyramid, and I want the rooms and objects of the current layer plus all of the layers below to be visible. So for example the 3rd layer should have visible stuff from three layers, the 2nd layer stuff from 2 layers etc... I hope this makes sense.

Hello, I'm trying to make the sidebar of Nautilus transparent by using the following css:

.nautilus-window .background { background-color: rgba( 36, 36, 36, 0.6); } 

This code works perfectly in gtk inspector however in "home//.config/gtk-4.0/gtk.css" it doesn't.
A person in a discord server tried testing this css on their install and it also didn't work for them, however they got the sidebar to be transparent by using the following code:

however this has the side effect of causing the title bar to become transparent as it was relying on the main window's background color. I tried setting the title bars background color however that did not work.
I'm not running any themes, I'm on linux fedora, and I can't find anything else on google, please help gnomies :pray:

I'm working on projections for our theatre's production of Wizard of Oz.
I'm wondering if this is possible.... I have a 5 minute video cue that just has the fire and smoke in the wizard's chamber. I want to overlay that with a transparent (alpha channel) floating wizard body every time the wizard speaks his line. Is that possible? Ideally the fire and smoke background plate would continue to run in the background and I would just load the wizard head on top.
I'm also curious is it possible to automatically have qlab fade out the floating head clips once each dialog is complete or do I have to manually fade them out with a second fade cue? So for example below - after clips 3, and 6 finish running they auto fade out?
