2023.03.24 06:43 aviator94 A friendly reminder that you should keep medical supplies on hand regardless of the situation.
TL;DR: the medical supplies we talk about are good for more than a shootout. Have them on hand all the time.
This sub focuses a lot on what medical you’re running, where do you keep it on your kit, getting training for things like GSWs, but I just wanted to remind everyone that guns aren’t the only way people get hurt. I keep an IFAK on my belt, on both my PCs, in the closet at home, in my gun bag, and in my car. Today was the first time I ended up using one.
Story time. I’m riding the bench for my teams hockey game tonight due to a leg injury. Beer league, low level, nothing serious. One of our players wears glasses and no cage. He ended up getting hit in the face and his glasses shattered, resulting in some pretty gnarly lacerations. Being the only person not in skates I ran for the rinks first aid supplies, conveniently hidden in a back office and generally inaccessible to the public. Inside: bandaids, tweezers, hand sanitizer, and a single sterile gauze pad. Very useful for a place with people riding around on blades, smacking each other with sticks, and falling on the hardest surface known to man. No TQ, no splint, no brace, no packing gauze, no shears.
I got back to the locker room where they had moved my teammate and they’re trying to stop the bleeding with paper towels from the bathroom. Far from sterile. Fortunately, despite some very nasty cuts (parts hanging off) the bleeding isn’t too bad. So I gave them the single gauze pad and ran to the truck to grab my IFAK. When I returned I realized I was also bleeding (unrelated, cracked hands) so I gloved up and took a look at his face. The bleeding had slowed considerably and everything had been pushed more or less back in place. I wrapped the worst of it with a 4” pressure bandage and drove him off to the ER for stitches, where I am now.
Ultimately, the injuries are minor, and the tools I had on hand weren’t exactly ideal for the situation. But the important thing is they were a damn sight better than what was available at the rink. There was no replacement gauze for the first one once it was removed to check/clean/replace, there was no way to hold a piece of gauze in place or bandage, and there certainly wasn’t anything for a more serious injury. Was the stuff I had or did the things I did save a life? Fuck no, he’ll be fine either way, albeit with a much higher risk of infection and maybe an uglier scare. It was ultimately minor but it was a good reminder to keep your medical supplies with you everywhere, you never know when you might need them.

2023.03.24 06:10 Outcastperspective Story time
While sitting 5G (not my NKs; frequent sit) she spilled make up powder she recently got onto the table. She immediately begins playing in it like sand so I rush to clean it with one wet and dry paper towel.
“5 may you please throw this away?”…
eyes widen as she steps back. She flings her hands out
“No! It has germs, wha why?! Why would you give that to me! It’s covered in GERMS!”
That’s it. Took 10min of slowly making its way to the trash where each time she was concerned for the germs.. it was adorable and hilarious.

2023.03.24 05:43 rkennedy923 2020-2023 sentra question
I have a 2020 SV and I noticed I have a light in the passenger door that lights up the cup holder in the door. However, there isn’t one on the driver door. There is a little plastic piece on the driver side instead of a light.
Back to where the light is on the passenger side, is seems like maybe there should be a plastic piece there too?
Just trying to figure out what it’s actually supposed to be. People with a 2020 and newer. Let me know what it’s like in your car please!

2023.03.24 05:31 chrisangel666 Need Help Troubleshooting Wok
I bought a carbon steel wok in 2020 and being a fairly passionate home cook/lover of Asian cuisine it's one of my favorite purchases in recent years.
I seasoned it properly and after a few months got to the point where there was a nice black patina coating it. Most meals would result in nothing sticking and just having to clean the wok with a soft sponge and no soap followed by drying it out over high heat and applying a thin coat of oil.
Two weeks ago after giving the wok a light rinse and wipe with a soft sponge I noticed about 1/4 of the patina on the flat part of my wok was noticeably lighter. The flat bottom of my wok always got the most heat and the patina was always thicker here so it was quite noticeable. That being said even though it was lighter than the rest of the wok it wasn't like it went right through to the carbon steel below and there was no rust.
I kept on cooking, rinsing, heating and then coating my wok with a thin layer of oil after it was dry. It looked like that small patch was catching up again. Tonight after rinsing I've noticed all the gains I thought my wok was making recovering from that small section of damaged patina have been wiped out and then some. I didn't notice until I pulled it off the stove and had started wiping it down with a paper towel and a bit of oil.
After trying to take a photo for you guys I've realized it's a lot harder to see on camera. Would it be better of me to just scrub the wok clean and re-season because it will keep flaking? Or should I just keep trying to strengthen it up with regular use and seasoning?
Much appreciated!

2023.03.24 05:23 Tiny_ranga ADVICE PLEASE I'm using wire and little hooks attached to suction cups under my gravel to stop my drift wood floating up I'm wondering if I would have problems with rust if the steel hooks plated
2023.03.24 05:05 kris7002 Some oregon guava hemp I’ve been playing around with in an aero garden. About 2 weeks from chop. The nugs are about as fat as a paper towel roll. Smells just like ripe mango/guava. Clearly having nitrogen issues but it’s being addressed.
2023.03.24 04:57 Emerald-Avocado Sensory aversions
I've never been diagnosed by a practitioner for any sort of Sensory disorder, but as a preface, I can tell you that I have been diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and an incredibly rare sleep disorder. I personally believe that I have autistic traits, now that doesn't necessarily mean I believe I am autistic, but there are traits that I identify with especially with sensory aversions.
And this is what I need to get off my chest.
I live in a third world country with my fiancé. I grew up in a first world country and I am used to having plumbing and bathrooms that are up to certain codes; hot water and cold water works properly, no mold, fans, no cockroaches etc. When I moved here I have had the hardest time getting myself to shower on a regular schedule and I KNOW it's because I'm having a problem with the bathroom. Unfortunately, my fiancé doesn't understand adhd/autism or believes that some things need special care in order to help solve the obstacle. He says "well everyone has autism and adhd these days, it's just a shower, I don't understand how you can't motivate yourself to take one". He believes and fully understands my TBI and also my sleep disorder, because he can see the affects they have on me physically and it also affects him. Me showering does not affect him in the same way.
Our ceiling in the bathroom has mold on it, because where we live it is not common to have a fan in the bathroom. It is a very hot country and they believe that a fan will do nothing. Before I moved here, he didn't even open yhe window when he showered. So the mold problem is a huge issue for me. We have to wear Sandals in our shower to not get feet infections. We only share one towel. We use cheap shampoo and conditioner that we've had since I moved here. Our boiler for the hot water is finicky, and so mid shower it can turn off. I have no idea how to work it. And sometimes, it just doesn't ignite at all. And it could be for multiple reasons such as not enough gas, the battery being dead, or other things. I've been taught so many different methods on how to work the boiler but when I try them myself they never work. Our pressure isn't hard enough to ignite it sometimes so we have to turn all the sinks on and the shower for it to ignite. It's a huge mess. I'm also a never nude. Unless we're having sex. And then immediately afterwards I'm in clothes again. I hate being naked, I'm not really sure why, but I've always had this sort of aversion to being unclothed. And so add that to the mix.
We're both getting frustrated by this issue. I get smelly after one day because it is so hot here and I have the hardest time getting myself in the shower. Also, our countries water level is very low, so once a day our apartment complex turns all of the water off for a few hours. So I can't even choose what time I want to shower at. I have to shower when we have the water.
We are also quite poor. I've had this conversation with him about the things I need to make it easier for me, but he's having a hard time grasping why this is something so serious. Which is so strange, because he is nothing but understanding and gentle with my other obstacles. I guess with the whole wave of "everyone self diagnosing as autistic and adhd", he has a hard time believing that I have real sensory issues and it's not just something I saw off tiktok.
I just got out of the shower and had a complete anxiety mental breakdown about it and he agreed to get me my own shower Sandals and towel. I cannot work in this country yet because I do not have the proper papers to have a job, and I don't speak the language Fluently yet.
And occasionally, cockroaches will enter the house. That's just a normal thing here. But I am very not used to that, especially seeing one in the shower. It's not super often but it's a complete turn off for me, I immediately change my mind about having the shower.
And lastly, my last shower I had, halfway through the power went out. I had a complete freak out.
I really could use some advice. Or not. Maybe i just need to vent. But please don't judge me too harshly. This is a super serious problem I'm having and I'm trying to change the way I feel, so that I can live and be happier. And my fiancé is used to third world operations. He's never had super clean plumbing his entire life. We're working on it. Just needed to get this off my chest

2023.03.24 04:44 No_Concentrate2892 Best practices to prevent hackers from stealing our crypto assets
How do we keep our cryptocurrency assets? Because I researched various good practices that we can apply as holders. Because it is not enough that we know how to find good coins and which one to buy. But we don't know how to protect it.
In the cryptocurrency case, there are many hacked incidents although when I was just starting, I experienced my laptop being hacked and fortunately, I didn't have much important stuff saved in my file there. Because others can be considered experts here but they still get hacked, how about the people who always start here?
So this will be our guide to protecting our cryptocurrencies. And it applies to long-term and short-term holders.
- Keep your seed phrase safe and secure :
private and seed phrase is the most important aspect ofcryptocurrency owners. Because this is what we use. so we can access our crypto assets in the wallet, Hardware wallets and Non-custodial wallets all have seed phrase and private key.
That's why if we create a new wallet, the seed phrase we need to keep and hide so it doesn't end up to others or disappear. The mistake is because others put it they do it online, in notepad or google Sheets. After all, it's easy it's accessible. But it can also be easily accessed by those hackers, so it is not recommended. So the advise of most people put it in "Secure offline storage" Just write the risk on paper, it's an easy break, lose or burn. We have put it offline it's easy to break the paper, but it will still result in the loss of our cryptos.
- Hardware wallet :
This is advisable if we want to hold for a long period. It is a physical device specifically designed to securely store our crypto assets offline without being connected to internet and potential cyber threats.
It is also one of the safest and most secure methods of a strong large amount of cryptocurrency it is much better. This is an option compared to other cold storage, Normally, it has a built-in display button. And the offline storage device that is not connected to the internet is a USB drive or Encrypted hard drive. It is recommended for people with big holds of cryptocurrencies.
And if you are also planning to buy a hardware wallet, make sure you buy from the manufacturer, not either It is advisable that you buy it secondhand the hardware wallet has been compromised.
- Two-Factor Authentication :
We an adding security measures to also protect our cryptocurrency account. Particularly the centralized crypto exchange. In exchanges, normally there is a way to turn on our 2FA authentication. The most common 2FA is the one-time password OTP generated via SMS or APP to mobile users.
And with bank accounts normally, it has OTP through SMS or text message when we log in to the new device or Let's transact online and we'll receive something for it can proceed and it is also applicable to the rest of us account online, social media account, and cryptocurrency exchange, mobile wallet, etc.
2FA via apps like google is a more recommendable authenticator or Authy. And not via text message, because otp text message is easy to hack. Some are used hackers are just as devising to intercept that and theirs get the OTP.
Anyway, as long as we have 2FA enabled it's much better than not having it. But if we base it on security, google authenticator is more secure. But if you want the safest google authenticator you can use "Yubikey"
source:
https://www.techtarget.com/searchsecurity/definition/two-factor-authentication - Strong password :
We can say that a password is strong if it has upper and lowercase, number and special characters. Then its length is at least 12 characters long, it is more difficult for hackers to guess it or extract the password.
Another risk we take is using the same password in different accounts. Once the hacker has access to one password he has access to all accounts. And it is dangerous in cryptocurrency accounts. Imagine if a hacker has access to one of your accounts in an exchange because you only have one password, there is a possibility that he can also access your other accounts.
Sometimes it's hard to think of complex passwords and then we need many more, and this is where password managers come in because it automatically generates a random and secure password for each account, it's also encrypted and accessible only with a master password. This will also help to avoid the risk of forgetting the password because we don't need to memorize it and always provide a convenient way to manage all of our passwords in one place.
- Software update :
This is also one of the procedures that we sometimes forget to update. Updating our software and wallet regularly is also a crucial part to protect our cryptocurrency. Sometimes when the software is outdated, it has vulnerabilities, because the software used by hackers is also updated and they may discover a way to exploit the software.
And to address this issue, software developers always release security patches to fix them. So we have to update that we have security measures on our device.
And not only that, but we also often use operating systems and web browsers, and we also need to update them. Because hackers also use it to hack us, so we need to regularly check if there is something new or if we need to install it in the software and web browsers.
- Reputable Exchange :
How do we know if an exchange is reputable based on its track record? There must be "Robust security measures" such as encryption, 2 Factor Authentication, and secure storage of funds in a cold wallet.
They need to be transparent in their operation and have a clear policy for handling security breaches and user funds. It also adds reputation if a cryptocurrency exchange is regulated by a financial authority. And just a few of the reputable exchanges here that I can say are Binance, Okex, crypto.com, and others, it just depends on the user's preference.
- Be careful with email and links :
This is where phishing attacks often come from, which are used by cybercriminals to steal sensitive information, credentials, and private keys.
Those phishing emails or links may appear from a reputable source such as a crypto exchange or wallet provider, and those who receive them will think it is the original website but it turns out to be a trap. There are so many incidents like this, that even crypto holders when they search on google, many fake websites will appear that they don't know are malware.
- Educate yourself :
This is our most important weapon to protect our crypto is our knowledge about this industry. And the crypto space is rapidly evolving, along with security threats and vulnerabilities. By staying informed and educated about what is happening in crypto we can think of necessary steps to protect our cryptocurrency assets. The ones who are often hacked are the new ones because they don't have enough knowledge to protect their crypto, they have not updated with the new things that hackers do to trick users.

2023.03.24 04:38 ClipIn 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 & 3500 Heavy Duty: Everything I know
This post is specific to the
2024 GMC Sierra model year's 2500HD and 3500HD aka Heavy Duty versions. I'll include info
on all trims. If you're looking for
1500 series models, some discounts below might be interestingvbut fair warning: most everything else is about the HD series trucks.
I've been watching all the news, spy shots, auto shows, press releases and can't wait to see this truck in person. Until then, I've been researching like crazy. Because I'm a nerd. Figured some other people might be like me, looking for all the
quality updates, videos, pics, and (eventually
I can't wait) reviews - so why not put them all in one place. Here goes...
Official stuff
- Go here >> https://www.gmc.com
- Start a Chat session
- Provide your order number >> rep will tell you the status
Pricing
- GMC Supplier Discount website
- Check if you're eligible (here) aka work for a company that gets this. There's a ton. It's worth trying. Look up your company here, grab the code, then make a free account and use that code. It's crazy simple.
- The Supplier version Build/Price tools aren't online for 2024 models, but you can do it anyway just use the one depending on your model:
- GMC Friends and Family Discount website
- The Friends & Family version Build/Price tools aren't online for 2024 models, but you can do it anyway just use the one depending on your model:
- Dealers do not have to accept Friends&Family or Supplier pricing. They are reimbursed partially by GM, so in effect are taking some hit by accepting it. Hence, why so many turned away buyers during pandemic.
- In Feb 2023, GM idled its Fort Wayne, Indiana production for two weeks (source) because inventories of 1500 series reached 100 days. That's above their stated goal of 50-60 days of inventory. At year-end 2022 inventories were at 50 days. TL;DR supplies of light duty trucks have outstripped demand, and I'd hope that means good news for pricing now and into 2Q.
Engine | Denali Ultimate | Denali | AT4 | SLT | SLE | Pro |
MSRP 6.6L V8 Gas w/ 4WD (starting at) | n/a | $75,095 | $70,995 | $65,195 | $57,795 | $52,795 |

Discounts
- Dealerships that have told me they're honoring Supplier Pricing
- Laura GMC (website) in Collinsville, IL
- Beck & Masten (website) in Houston, TX
- Dealerships offering discounted pricing to anyone. Does not stack with Supplier or Friends and Family though.
- Laura GMC (website): $2,500 off MSRP. Will ship car to you (at your expense). Free shuttle pickup from airport, if you fly in.
- Beck & Masten (website): $2,000 off MSRP + free delivery within 500 miles
- Costco discount / Costco Auto Program Savings Event. I don't know what it is (will be?) for 2024, but was $1,000 off for 2022 and 2023 models (source, also mentioned on a few forums and in askcarsales).
- Uber - discount for Uber drivers. In past was $2,750 off BoltEV, no idea if anything for Sierra models and if so, if even for this model year.

Latest info I've heard
- Downpour Metallic paint color is delayed, marked "late availability". Any orders with this color are delayed for likely months, but dealers don't have exact timing.
- Best discount is $2,500 off MSRP (at Laura GMC)
- Costco discount does stack with other discounts

- GMC MultiPro tailgate Step Lights are a $150 option, even on Denali Ultimate. Wut!?
- For Super Cruise to work, need OnStar. But it's an add on feature, for ANY plan. Pricing is here, skip the BS graphic and click on Compare All Plans which gives you this PDF. Tl;DR in build options choose OnStar Premium Delete ($1,500 savings), then after get truck choose plan you want. Cheapest one, "Remote Access" for $14.99/month, gives you the app and "remote key fob" then just inlcude Super Cruise add-on for $25/month. Also: this still fees like a ripoff.
- CarbonPro bed isn't available on Heavy Duty series trucks, irregardless of trim.
- OEM Upfitter switches will be available (here >> GMUpfitter.com) and go in the "change pocket" area (pic), directly in front of new Trailer Brake controls placement.
- First dealership to have a 2500HD arrive was on Mar 22nd: Tom Kelley GMC in Fort Wayne, IN. They put up a youtube video here.
- Bigger GMC dealerships have been telling custs expect first trucks arrive on lots May 2023.
If I missed anything, please share! Just really like this truck, ordered one, can't wait for arrival. I am not in the car business, affiliated with any sites. Linked only to legit, high-quality sources that were best I could find, avoided the dumb Chinese bot knockoff YouTube channels and blogspam that just steal content. If you find some new juicy tidbits, please reply so we can all benefit.

2023.03.24 04:38 boop222urmom AITA for getting my own toilet paper?
My roommate (M25) & I (F24) share a bathroom. We have another roommate that has her own bathroom that lives downstairs.
We were friends for a bit before we moved in but the other two were definitely closer. I’m moving out soon becos the two have been very cliquish, and excluding me/picking fights with me. I’ve just been trying to keep my head down until I leave.
I work two jobs, and I’m on a REALLY tight budget being a young adult. For my second job, I pet sit for people so sometimes I’m gone for a week or two evry month.
Me & my roommates typically switch off buying things like toilet papepaper towels. I don’t have lots of money atm (I kinda live paycheck to paycheck) so I don’t buy name-brand products. Last time I bought paper towels they kinda took shots at me and stowed them away becos they didn’t want to use the cheaper ones.
3 months ago, it was my turn to buy toilet paper. I was about to buy it but my roommate texted saying he just bought it instead and “you can zelle me or whatever I’m not that worried about it.” He didn’t give me an amount & I was at work when it happened so I read it passively & went about my day. I kinda forgot about it unintentionally but he didn’t bring it up again. (I have ADHD and a terrible memory) Next month he bought more W/OUT telling me which he disclosed to me a during this fight. At the time he got it I was off at a dog sit for 2 weeks so I was unaware we ran out/that he got it.
A bit goes by & it was my turn to buy toilet paper. He texted me about getting it and I said yes because I’d be headed to the grocery store soon.
His reply was “but don’t buy those cheap ones you get.” I explained that was what I could afford. He said back that he doesn’t like those and was going to buy the kind he likes and I could zelle him. I said no, I’d rather just buy it but he insisted. I didn’t want to fight so I said I’d split it with him if it wasn’t too much. He later texted me after he bought it asking for the full amount which was $20.
I was upset b/c I told him I would pay half and he went and got it asking for the full price. With all the arguing lately I didn’t know what to do. After asking for a friend’s advice, when I was at the grocery store I just bought my own pack of 8 for $5 and I planned on just sticking to using my own.
In the morning I put my roll behind the toilet and went to work. I was figuring out a way to tell him that I was just going to use my own bc whenever we talk, we just fight so I was worried abt saying something. At work I received a paragraph from him about how I’m inconsiderate and shady for that. I didn’t respond since I’m at work and this is how our fights usually start.
I got home & he called me into his room where he basically just ripped on me. He said I was a rude person, a bad person, I was selfish…and some other more personal blows. I kinda just stood there and took it. I was just trying to find a solution in a sticky situation. This isn’t the first time he’s said things like this to me and i’m just so exhausted. Just wanted my own toilet paper so I could avoid all this. AITA?

2023.03.24 03:38 snooklepookle_ Dust Collector Review - YOKE FELLOW
| I hope this is relevant and helps people, when I started with gel nails I wasn't as aware of the importance of a dust collector, hopefully this review can be of some help to the community. The Backstory I've been doing gel nails for a few months now and started having symptoms for the few days after filing of sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, etc. Even hand-filing set it off, and it seemed to get worse every time. I wore a mask and laid down a microfiber towel on my surface but it definitely doesn't catch everything and dust seemed to get everywhere on the nooks and crannies of my desk, piled onto my hands, as well as spread around the room. Dust flying into my eyes is especially a problem, but I didn't want to reduce visibility when working with an efile. DIY spaces on TikTok especially don't stress the importance of respiratory health, but it's just as important as allergy prevention! I was on the lookout for a dust collector but I'm on a budget and it seems like everything on the lower end had poor reviews or people would say it barely did anything. I'd love to splash out for a $350+ professional dust collector but that's just not in the cards for me right now. I know the high price of dust collectors turned me off from putting off the purchase, but even moreso I didn't see a lot of reviews and didn't think of it as a necessity. I'm sure more affordable and effective options will make it easier for diy-ers to add to their repertoire of tools. I turned to AliExpress to just look around, there's always a lot of interesting whitelabel appliances on there, and this one had excellent reviews. It was about $50 on AliExpress and I googled the brand name and it showed an Amazon listing with only a 2.5 star rating. I was curious enough and paid $39 USD to review and return if I disliked it, but after testing for two days I'm quite satisfied. I'm reviewing the version without a drill built into it. The Review PROS: • It works, and well! I set it on a glass top and filed off a gel overlay set. I shined a flashlight on the desk and hardly any was on the surface when usually it would be COVERED in powder. I wasn't very careful to file directly over or close to the collector either, so this was quite impressive. There was a little dust on the hands but drastically less, and you could see the dust getting sucked downwards instead of flying up into a cloud. The vents also angle downwards so it doesn't kick up any dust or blow things around. After filing I was happy to find that I'm not sneezing or coughing at all. • It's relatively quiet! I bought a more typical box-style collector and liked it enough, but I'm returning it now because this one is much stronger yet quieter. It has 2 suction levels and even the stronger level is quieter than the other collector. It's easy to still hold a conversation or listen to the TV. • It's sleek and compact, just the perfect size for home use. It's almost half the height of the box-style collector and it's much easier to hold your hands over it. It's also quite aesthetic, it comes in pink, blue and green and I think the listing on AliExpress also has a white. Definitely very pretty compared to other collectors, also has a nice little backlit touchscreen button that starts/stops and cycles through the speeds with a gentle touch. CONS: • All plastic construction. The typical box collector has a metal grate, this has a flimsy magnetized plastic grate. It's lightweight, which is nice, but I definitely wouldn't want to accidentally drop it. • The filter. There's a very tiny ribbon tab to lift the filter up after removing the grate, it's not as elegant as a drawer might be. It doesn't seem all that easy to buy replacement filters as well, so I'll be cleaning this often and brushing it out thoroughly. • The cord is quite short. If I place it on a counter the plug doesn't even touch the floor, so it'll need an extension cord if you're working on a desk without an outlet on the desktop. • The reviews. I'm going to be watching this thing closely for a bit, because many reviews on Amazon say it shorted, made a popping noise, and started burning? Enough to put me on edge 😅 but it doesn't seem like a super high-powered appliance so I'll monitor how it's doing and update this post if anything happens. Tl;Dr TAKE CARE OF YOUR LUNGS PLEASE! 2023.03.24 02:55 VolcanicKirby2 Talon 22 semi permeant Packing list
So, I commute 90% of the time on my bicycle and basically live out of my backpack. I have more clothing than what is packed but I rotate clothing out week to week. Basically, I pack the bag for the week and I am good to go. Returning home to get more food for the day.
The Bag: Osprey Talon 22 this bag is made for hiking/bicycling which is what drew me to the bag to begin with. The harness system as well as the bicycle helmet holder are both on point for my needs. I will break down the packing based off of the different compartments.
The Hip Pockets: The pack has hip straps for weight distribution and it has two pockets on each side. I use these for quick grab items and items I want isolated.
Left Pocket: ROAV Sunglasses
Pens/Sharpie
Chapstick
Right Pocket: Dry Erase marker
Stop Watch
Eargasm high Fidelity earplugs
I keep quarters in here because I love to buy Arizona Iced Tea and as I build up change I separate out quarters to fuel my Arizona addiction.
Quick Grab Pocket:
This is located at the top of the pack and I use it to store charging items as I like them to be readily assessable.
I use
this bad boy from anker for my charging needs
I use
this bad boy from anker for my portable charger
1x apple lightning charging cable
1x apple USBC charging cable
1x Pokemon go plus charging cable
1x Micro USB cable
1x apple pencil
this covers all my charging needs for all my devices which will be covered later and makes sure that my bike lights can be charged while at work.
The Main Compartment: this is where all the fun is as this is the bulk of everything
1x First aid kid this is mostly stuffed with Band-Aids so as I get cuts I can cover them to keep them from being hit by road grime
1x Rainleaf Large towel. I am considering switching to a smaller towel but this one works just fine so I cannot justify replacing it.
1x Speedo swim suit (I work in aquatics I get in the pool often)
1x Speedo Goggle case with a pair of goggles and a swim cap in it (again I work in aquatics)
1x Glasses case with a cleaner in it. When I use my sunglasses my glasses go in here otherwise it is empty.
1x Eagle Creed Small packing cube
this holds my work shirt, a pair of shorts because pool decks are hot.
3x other t shirts no fancy shirts here just whatever T shirts I own.
I wear 1 pair of jeans but if I wear my shorts I put the jeans in the bag.
1x Patagonia Houdini, if it is not worn it is kept in the packing cube.
2x Pairs of socks
1x Eagle Creek extra small Packing cube
I keep more socks and my underwear in this one usually 2-3 pairs of each.
1x Pair of gloves I wear when riding my bike so my hands dont freeze they are a random pair I got at costco a few years back
1x Patagonia Micro Puff this often gets worn unless I am on my bike then I over heat and trade it in for the houdini. the micro puff is great if I am hanging out outside or if I am taking the bus or not biking for that day. so in rain and what not where I take the bus or cave in and drive this thing comes in clutch. That said come the warmer months I often get rid of this so I can have more room. For what? No clue usually more food.
1x Sea to Summit Toiletry bag This thing is AWESOME it has everything, a hanger and a mirror and it holds all my stuff. 1x toothbrush
1x razor
3x Matador Flatpack
3x Ethique soap bars, 1 soap, shampoo and conditioner.
1x small glass jar of Bite toothpaste tabs
1x small glass jar with bite toothpastes floss in it
1x tube of ethique deoderant
I toss condoms into here too because I always carry condoms with me since I am not interested in having children.
1x Ipad pro with an Apple Magic keyboard I do basically everything off of this. I do not use tech all the time so I can manage with an Ipad just fine. Funny enough my laptops main use is I have been digitizing my family memories so I can get rid of the physical things like all the VHS tapes and printed photos. It is a slow and long process but definitely worthwhile.
The outer Mesh pocket: This I use to keep tissues in as I have terrible allergies and I keep a book in here too as I often try to read books.
Drink Pockets: One I keep a water bottle in and the other is usually a Jar of food
If anyone wants pics I can try and get some of the bag fully packed. I don't know if anyone will really be interested I posted earlier asking if people would be interested and people mostly criticized my grammar.

2023.03.24 02:47 Subotai_Super_Shorty Stupid person with another mold question...
Hi All,
So, forgot to clean off my grill last season and opened it up today to find mold on the grill surface. I wiped it down with a bunch of paper towels, then cranked the grill up to 400 for about 15 min. I completely forgot to do a vinegar wash. Then I scrubbed the grill with some wadded up foil. After that cooked steaks as normal.
Any health risks being that I didn't use a cleaning solution of any kind?

2023.03.24 02:45 akm519 Not sure how to deal with this, help pls (bugs tw)
just to preface, I am not reassurance seeking, just looking for a healthy way to deal with this.
so I went into my pantry today to look for something to eat and saw a weevil. we had a weevil problem a couple of years back so I knew what is was right away and grabbed a napkin to kill it. when I went back in there I looked around and noticed at least 10 more.
I went and told my dad and he went in there and started to throw stuff away and kill any weevils he saw. I was going to go hide out on the other side of the house but I felt too guilty to leave him to handle it on his own (bugs don’t bother him but he had just gotten back from a 10 hour drive and since I was the one to find them it should be my responsibility to get rid of them, it wouldn’t be right to pass it off onto someone else.)
so I stood there and held a trash bag and helped look for any weevils. we got as many as we could but now I feel like they’re all over me. they were on the ceiling too and I have really long hair and now I feel like they’re in my hair and I just want to shave it all off.
I had already taken a shower earlier and I know if I were to take another shower my parents would know that something was up (they don’t know the extent of my issues with bugs, germs, etc. and I’d rather they not know). I was able to wipe myself down with soap and a wet paper towel but there is no way to wash my hair without taking another shower. my room is also right across from the pantry so now i’m afraid to sleep in there because what if they went in there too. I feel like every speck of dust/dirt I see is another weevil and I am like one more weevil away from a full blown panic attack. I’ve washed my hands like 10 times now and used hand sanitizer but I still feel like they’re on me.
any advice on how to not feel like I need to spray myself down with lysol or douse myself in hand sanitizer frank-reynolds-style?
(this is my first post here and I looked through the rules a couple of times but if I broke any just let me know and I will fix it)

2023.03.24 02:25 ThomasHasThomas My 1st time un- and re-mounting of a CPU cooler heatsink - how to do it properly...?
Hi gentlemen
I have an old board with an X370 chipset, Ryzen 1700 in it (the first generation). I have bought and have sitting here for about a month (in a drawer) a new CPU that should go into this board after the bios upgrade - 5950x.
I have a scythe ninja 4 cooler. I have built about 3 pc's in my life, but I have NEVER taken the cooler off and put it back on again, I have never cleaned the CPU nor the base of air cooler from paste, etc. and so im a bit worried about the proper way to do it. I want to ask a few things:
1) Uninstalling the cooler (passive) - carefully with various movements (rotating, tilting a little, etc.) simply in all possible directions SLOWLY and carefully try to remove the passive from the CPU (in case the existing old paste has "hardened" too much). Avoid greater upward pressure so that I don't accidentally pull the "glued" CPU out of the socket with the passive...? Yes?
2) To "de-grease" the old (6 years) paste from the CPU and the base of the radiator passive, I bought Isopropyl alcohol. Is this ok/safe for the paste?
3) What to use to degrease the paste? Tissues? Toilet paper? Cotton swabs? A small microfiber towel? Any fabric (old cotton t-shirt cut up)? Or it doesnt matteits all the same?I'm afraid of cotton and microfiber because of static electricity(?) (probably nonsense), I don't "want" paper tissues or cotton swabs to accidentally leave "pieces/fibers" on the CPU or elsewhere. What the best to use (what do YOU use ?)
4) When applying the new thermal paste (I have an Arctic MX-4 2019 Edition (4g) ) to the 5950x, use the standard procedure - a pea-sized drop in the middle of the CPU...? Is this still the best practice? The 5950x area seems quite large, so use a BIGGER droplet rather than just "pea size" right...? What about other application methods (X cross, 5 dot, etc...?)
5) Then simply push the cooler onto the processor with the paste as much as possible from above/vertically? Don't turn, don't "wobble" (don't let air bubbles appear), just lower it from above (onto the cpu) as vertically and evenly as possible. Correct?
And that's about it... or is there anything else I should be careful about when de-mounting and re-mounting the passive/heatsink of an AIR cooler (and cleaning and reapplying paste, etc. and all that goes with it)?
Thanks

2023.03.24 02:14 Tear_you_apart_ Husband doesn't seem to respect me trying to make money and seems to want to force a house wife role on me.
I didn't really think that my husband was one of these men that get caught up in gender rolls but I feel as of recent he is proving he is exactly that. I am getting pissed. Recently we had to move to another country for my husband's job. They don't speak English here and legally I can't work like I normally would, so I got forced into the housewife roll. My husband has been complaining that the house isn't clean enough, and the chores aren't getting done enough. While I agree that the house isn't clean enough I am mentally exhausted with it already. I am constantly getting on our kids about cleaning up their stuff and throwing out garbage. I usually have like 2 sink loads full of dished everyday. We have 2 dogs that have long hair a d constantly shed. I run the vacuum like 3 times a day, but it feels like their isn't enough time. I usually get up at 7 get my kids up, get them to school at 8. Then have some coffee breakfast. Work out for an hour. Then it is already 10am and I haven't cleaned yet. Run the vacuum. Do the dishes. Pick up usually the trash my kids and husband leaves on the tables. They will eat and leave their plates, cans, drink cups, paper towels on the tables. So will tell them to throw it out (my husband does this too) but if it wasn't done and everyone if got I have to do it. Then my husband complains that the tables are cluttered. A lot of times he comes it and let's his stuff and work papers in the table and then complains that the table is a mess. I will tell him it is his stuff and idk what paper is important and what can be thrown out, because if I throw out something important he has a fit. He complains that the laundry isn't done and I will tell him that it is all washed I would just like help sorting and folding 4 peoples worth of laundry. Usually when I do, get it done I will hand him his laundry basket with his stuff folded to put away. He usually places it in the BR and leaves it there then digs through it when he needs something. Then I have no bins for new laundry.
When we first got here he was complaining that I need to find away to make money. Recently I started my own business selling handpanted artwork. I spend maybe $8 on materials and then I sell them for $80. They are large 18×18 paintings and so they take me about 4 hours to paint. Within the first week I make 5 and sold 3 of them, and I got more materials to make more. He was complaining that me "hobby, and creative outlet" shouldn't come before housework. I told him that the time I spend is 4 hours and I am making $18 an hour doing this art. When I was working a regular job that was $16 hour and and I would be paying taxes on that, and that it should be treated as a job. I am good at it about I am making money. He complained that I made $260 (someone tipped me an extra $20) Last week and If I were working a regular job I would have made more than that. I said but I would have been working 8 hours a day for 4 hours and I can choose not to paint and do house work. But It should be treated like a job, not some silly thing. He feels like because I like painting it isn't a job and it shouldn't be on the same priority level as housework. I feel like maid more than a spouse. My kids get out of school here at 2:15. I am the one that has to go grocery shopping and do the cooking and then cleaning of said cooking. I usually don't get myself ready in the morning because I get my kids ready. He doesn't realize that probably 1 to x times a week grocery shopping takes 2 hours alone. He says if you were seriously house cleaning in a schedule for 3 hours the house would be clean. I kinda feel like he doesn't get how long things take. He doesn't want me to paint and he wants me to clean, but he comes home throws his clothing on a chair and watches TV. He says he shouldn't have to help because he works 8 hours a day and I am home all day. He also says that "maybe" he "wouldn't throw his stuff everywhere if he walked into a clean house" So, this morning my kids are on spring break. I wake up to my son telling me that my husband told him that he needs to help with house cleaning, but also keep me on track with house cleaning and make sure I am not off track and painting. He put a my son in charge of me. I feel that this was extremely disrespectful. Like he clearly doesn't respects me and he puts a "man" in charge of me because I might paint to make money in my free time instead of clean.
It is this him telling my son to keep me on track with housework that really pissed me off. He tells a child that he is not in charge of his mother and I am livid at this point and don't know where else to rant at. I am in a foreign country with no American friends, and I am trying to do things to make money and house cleaning, cooking, and child rearing is my forced priority and he doesn't see what I am doing as legitimate work, and tells my child to keep me on track. 😮💨😮💨😮💨😢
I just don't know what to do at this point.

2023.03.24 01:55 ThinkWeight3313 The right phone holder
So, my dad has the Audi A3 and for the longest time we have been struggling to find a phone holder that would stay functional we tried the suction cup version but because we only use the car like once a week, that would get melted off and because the dashboard is curved its hard to put a suction cup there as well. I'm running out of ideas...
We also got the onea that you can kinda stick in the ac vents. (The ones facing ypu on the dash) but its too weak.
Send halp!
