Thinking of getting a tattoo similar to this art as long it follows Chnoubis format: Lion-headed serpent/worm with Sun and Moon and Star Halo (7 pointed?). This character and the ideas it represents to me is something has been resonating with my heart and I'd like to analyze if I'm understanding it correctly before I leave its mark on my body. This will be my first tattoo and I want it to serve as an amulet as I enter into the later stages of my life.

I was raised Catholic but growing up I never associated the God figure taught in Christianity as a masculine figure. I never associated God as father either. It was always lost on me and the divine father has always been a missing symbol in my psyche. God was just dead.
But as an adult, I've moved back into evaluating deeper into my belief systems and the stories we al draw energy from. Looking into these old teachings in Gnosticsm has helped me reintegrate through the symbols it provides. Attributing the Old Testament God to Yaldabaoath gives me a more complete picture to work off of with my Christian upbringing. Yaldabaoth, to me, represents a fallen deity disconnected from the world he were born for and despite the forsaken circumstance he's given, he chooses to create his own world and system despite the invalidation the "real" world offers from his father. This material world is ours is Yaldabaoth's. A prison created by someone else's dream. And the purpose of this prison is to extract spiritual energy through suffering (Suffering is grace in Catholicism). The surest way to leave any prison is to simply close your eyes and let yourself be inside your own world. We must be like Yaldabaoth in that way. To find what we're missing and complete ourselves in the small world we create for ourselves so that we may come back home fully to what's above us.

I was raised Catholic but growing up I never associated the God figure taught in Christianity as a masculine figure. I never associated God as father either. It was always lost on me and the divine father has always been a missing symbol in my psyche. God was just dead.
But as an adult, I've moved back into evaluating deeper into my belief systems and the stories we al draw energy from. Looking into these old teachings in Gnosticsm has helped me reintegrate through the symbols it provides. Attributing the Old Testament God to Yaldabaoath gives me a more complete picture to work off of with my Christian upbringing. Yaldabaoth, to me, represents a fallen deity disconnected from the world he were born for and despite the forsaken circumstance he's given, he chooses to create his own world and system despite the invalidation the "real" world offers from his father. This material world is ours is Yaldabaoth's. A prison created by someone else's dream. And the purpose of this prison is to extract spiritual energy through suffering (Suffering is grace in Catholicism). The surest way to leave any prison is to simply close your eyes and let yourself be inside your own world. We must be like Yaldabaoth in that way. To find what we're missing and complete ourselves in the small world we create for ourselves so that we may come back home fully to what's above us.

My boyfriend just started snoring this week...its pretty bad. Im trying to act like its fine but im honestly worried. I offered to get him breath strips and they helped immediatly. I have been reading comics on and off for years now, I have some physical DC ones I got from a second hand book store near me but they aren't in order or same variation of timeline. I'm a fan of TMNT after watching the 2012 and 2018 shows and some of the earlier movies but I want to go back to the basics. What series or version would be easiest to digest and actually have a physical copy? Are there series of TMNT that are not 'worth it' to buy?

I have noticed that despite the content being good enough to hit millions of views on Tiktok - content isn't performing that well on YT. (We've only had 4-5 shorts bring in 1,000+ views so far)

I'm currently working with a popular Tiktoker and our strategy is to upload 3 shorts per day for a few months. I really like data, so I've been keeping track of our stats here: https://gyazo.com/41146688f7dbe0129ac25c2630c1ed8a
I have noticed that despite the content being good enough to hit millions of views on Tiktok - content isn't performing that well on YT. (We've only had 4-5 shorts bring in 1,000+ views so far)
Now I've noticed average viewership steadily rising - but this is new territory for me. (I'm more of an ideation, research and development guy)
Other than simply being a super new channel, and having a low sub count; are there other reasons why the majority of shorts uploaded peak at 1-10 views within 1-2 hours of being uploaded? Some start out at 1-2 views the first day, but I noticed that like a week later some of them are now are 30-80 views. And when a video DOES pop off- I've noticed it peaks after about 40 minutes of steady activity.
I've also noticed that when using the Youtube app:
- I cannot select custom thumbnails
- cannot schedule uploads for future moments
- cannot create the description or place additional tags in the exclusive tag region -
I need to upload from a 3rd party app or from Youtube Desktop if I want any of these things - however I cannot access the Youtube Shorts music library if I'm not uploading the short from the YT app, and although it's not TOO impactful, some views can happen from sound searches - so uploading from the app seems too important to give up despite all these disadvantages.
What has been your all's experience so far with launching new channels and initially focusing on shorts?

I am bipola type I but I get hypomania more than mania for sure. Anyways, when it comes on my ocd of ticks comes in full force. I get stuck. If I drop my keys on the ground I have sanitize them, than wash my hands but not before taking off my shoes, because I don't wear shoes in my house than sabatizr my hands after putting shoes on. When I take a shower.. let's say I unknowingly pull alot of hair out and my skin is so irritated from over washing. I start blinking alot and pick my cuticles till the bleed. When the episode is over, all the ticks just stop. Its like a switch,and the stress goes away. Mania for me at the end of the episode is like getting stuck in this fucked up loop and you can't stop, no matter how hard you try you cannot stop doing whatever your ticks are... Its awful and it really makes you lose it at the end. Ugh just sharing. Last week has sucked but I stopped pulling my hair out and the bliking finally stopped. People in public notice, its so embarrassing I hate it.

I can't help but imagine that the entirety of Bleach is a long running table top roleplaying game where the only one taking it completely serious is Ichigo's player who is an unrepentant power gaming monster and the DM is doing his best to challenge everyone accordingly while frantically trying to come up with in universe reasons why Ichigo's character is so much more powerful than everyone else's.
Chad and Uyru are basically following an archetype for their classes and run with it for the mostpart.
Chad is a great guy, he's there for the roleplaying and storytelling more than the combat. He gets to be the heart of the group with a really touching backstory and every once in a while the DM throws him a bone by having him get a cool or touching moment like saving a kid's soul trapped in a bird's body from a hollow or soloing an arrancar but he's ok with his character getting knocked around for plot reasons.
Orihime is Ichigo's IRL girlfriend and isn't really interested in the game but knows that Ichigo lives for this shit so she takes a support class based on the DM's advice and even gets a special ability that only works on Ichigo's character that's basically True Resurrection.
At like level 8 Uyru's player can't make it anymore because of work or family reasons at one point so he gets a special boss battle with Mayuri and then becomes an npc under the DM's control until he can play again.
Then there's the absolute insanity that is Ichigo over there whose just like, I'll take five levels of Soul Reaper to get the Shikai feature, then two levels of Quincy for the Blut Vene ability, and for my level seven feat I'll take Flash Step, then I'll take five levels of the Zanpakuto Specialist prestige class until i get Bankai and after that I want one level of Fullbringer, so i can get the Vizard prestige class that requires levels in both Soul Reaper and Fullbringer to unlock, and THEN -
Meanwhile the DM is just doing everything he can to still make it fun and challenge everyone appropriately while also explaining why at level 7 Chad and Uryu are on the same approximate level as lieutenants while Ichigo's power gamed hybrid monstrosity is fighting a level 15 Kenpachi (who is always played by one of their friends who never has a lot of time for TTRPGs anymore but is always a riot when he does get to drop by and play the DMs broken af npc/monsters) and somehow not getting insta-killed.
TL:DR Bleach is a Table Top RPG and the plot is the DM trying to in universe explain the absolute bonkers level of BS powergaming by Ichigo's player.

The burned rock incident at 2023 World Women's between Denmark and Türkiye and how it was resolved inspired me to get a clarification on the following scenario.
At 2022 Brier (video), Brad Gushue made an in-off against Brad Jacobs: Gushue's yellow shooter comes in-off a red stone just outside the paint. The shooter then rolls and bumps Jacob's red stone off the button. Gushue ended up sitting 4, with one more stone left to deliver.
Let's say that instead of playing out the way it actually was, there's an alternate universe where the following happened instead:
Now let's say that the 2022-2026 Curling Canada burned rock rule had been in place, so "the touched stone must be removed from play and all stones that were displaced after the infraction are placed to their original positions".
Or let's say that this happened under WCF rules and the non-offending team chooses option R8(b)(i)(1), i.e. "remove the touched stone, and replace all stones that were displaced after the infraction to their positions prior to the violation taking place".
The infraction happened after the first red stone hits the bumper, not before. So does the first red stone remain out of play since it hit the bumper? Or does it go back to where it was so Brad Gushue can have a second chance at it?

Title. Whenever I try to open friends, store etc from the taskbar icon nothing happens. Then after some while it starts popping up those windows with a huge delay as many times as I previously clicked on something.
The icon on the right hand side works normally though.
Anyone else been having these kind of issues and have resolved them?

2023.03.24 07:57 whenimdancing Advice on taking naps without waking up disoriented and panicky?
If I take a nap I often wake up in a state of panic. I feel disoriented and scared, like something really bad is about to happen. And it often lasts for the rest of the day, even if I was having a good day before the nap. Grounding helps but I still feel bad and 'off' for the rest of the day.
Does anyone else experience this? And does anyone have insight on how to wake up from naps and feel okay?

Hey folks, we've been in NOLA for 1 day and have 8 days to go. We are staying at India house hostel so close to tram. Also will be signing up for the blue bikes. Specific questions to follow, more detail for general questions after:
1) kayaking in the bayou - is that a thing people do? Is it safe? Is there a kayak rental place? 2) Voodoo/ haunted tour - from what I understand these can be pretty much white tour guides profiting off exploitation of dead black people. I would love to know of companies that don't fit this bill. 3) museums - there are lots, which are worth it? Our interests are nature and history specific to the area.
Other than those specific Qs, any recommendations around natural areas, food, or music would be greatly appreciated.

I am probably one of the four people who actually use this dodge in PvE, but I personally like using it for a sort of support build that's difficult to make on hunter, and I typically run it with Sixth Coyote. However, after Lightfall dropped, I noticed something odd about the interactions between the mod, the exotic, and the ability.
As of Lightfall, or at least, as far as I've noticed, Kickstart mods work even when your ability has multiple charges; this is very different from how they worked before, and also differently from their description. However, for some reason, when you have Sixth Coyote and Acrobat's Dodge equipped, Utility Kickstart will not activate. If you switch dodges, it works fine, even though you haven't drained all of your ability energy. If you take Sixth Coyote off, Utility Kickstart works fine. But when you combine all three of these things, your armor charges won't be consumed and you will get no class ability energy back at all.
To be honest, I have no clue in what way this is bugged; is this working correctly, or are the other dodges? Considering that I've only noticed this behavior with Acrobat's Dodge, my assumption is that this is bugged, but I'd really just love for someone to acknowledge it so I can get back to doing cool flips at a slightly higher rate.
